New Find on Mars!! 700 ft Long. What It Is? What It Do?

What resolution can GLP telescope get... or can we get hi res of location ?

Thats actually quite a cool find a looks like a structure to me

cos its from the imaging program.its not an object.

there are HEAPS more interesting things than this up there.

Whatever it is, I'm not going to be seeing it in person anytime soon.

And even if it was a fairy princess castle, I'd still be going to work tomorrow.

can the GLP scope see stuff like this?

At 2:01 when it's zoomed in, you can see a border around the area, and inside of the border, the area is blurred. Not to mention how white the "structures" are in comparison to the surrounding terrain. Hardly convincing evidence.

Playing devils advocate, I recently read some stuff about salt deposits they just found on mars.

These are apparently pretty common as they've just discovered.
But then again, how long would the salt have to be exposed before being covered beneath the surface?
Could it be the edge of a crater formed in a salt deposit, and over time the crater has been filled in? Now, only a part the edge is still visible...

The edge is ridged, so it's just the peaks that are visible and that's why it looks like multiple structures. Such as a biostation/power station/ alien Bed and breakfast/ insert something contrived and whacky here...

Thanks OP. I never knew about Google Mars. I found many interesting things in the areas that are not tagged by Nasa. Very interesting planet.

there's definitely some pixelation going on within a rectangular area there. Salt deposits is a good theory. Why anyone would blur the area, I have no idea.

The GLP observatory can't even produce a focused picture of Jupiter. Google "rent telescope time" and you'll find Cherry Hill near the top of the results. Go with that, if you think its worth it.

So we should steal the lense in Antarctica before we melt the site?
