Cheapest website to buy mountain house freeze dried food?
Any suggestions other than ebay?
Instead of learning about new information that does not fit within your current worldview, you would rather exercise your ego by letting others know what is and is not possible, merely based upon your personal knowledge and feeble understanding of what actually exists.

Mountain House is pretty expensive. Are you stuck on that brand? And are you stuck on freeze-dried? You need water more than you need food. Do you have a good supply of water? If not, you'll be using up water to rehydrate your Mountain House food. Maybe consider some food that isn't dehydrated in addition to freeze-dried?

Don't know what you're preparing for, but you might want to ask yourself those types of questions.

Really, you need to think about what situation(s) you are preparing for. Not every situation will require the same preparations.

Actually, I am purchasing for a week long hike on the Appalachian. I've carried MRE's in the past but they are a bit bulky.

Re: Cheapest website to buy mountain house freeze dried food?
Here is the best place online or anywhere for that matter to purchase long term food storage. [link to www.5298.freefood2go.com] I can guarantee you will not find a better price anywhere. Anyone can sign up as a customer to purchase at wholesale pricing without any further obligation. Our pouches run less than $1 a serving. Mountain House cost between $4 and $6 for a 2 serving pouch. You can get a 20 serving variety package for just $15.95. Also you can purchase foods in #10 cans for about 1/2 the cost of anywhere else on the web. FF2G purchases in bulk and then passes the savings along. Remember you do not have to participate in the marketing aspect to save on food storage or any other preparedness products. But if you would like to earn free food there is a one time fee of $8.50 and you get a website just like mine. You can then refer people to it and get paid in free food. I qualified for $300 in free food credits this month alone just by telling others.

I'm just trying to help as many people as possible to prepare for whatever may come. Many people are paying way too much for food storage and preparedness items. This is why FF2G was founded. The mark up on these products by other companies is unreal and cost prohibitive for most people.

How much is your commission for me using your link with your affiliate ID rather than me just going directly to the site and buying direct?

It all depends on the size of the order. Minimum is around $2 and goes up from there. Going directly to the company doesn't change the cost to the consumer, however; the commission is rotated between those who have joined at the owner position. So someone in the organization will be paid commission on the order.

Mountain House is still available. There is just a waiting period of 4 weeks up to 6 months depending on where you order from.

Re: Cheapest website to buy mountain house freeze dried food?
Since you asked the question about Mountain House, the best site I've found is Amazon*. * = conditionally. Conditionally because Amazon's prices can go up and down a lot. If you pay attention though, you can get really good bargains from them. Also, I have Amazon Prime, so the shipping is free. Be sure to factor in shipping to all your prices.

I just checked another site I ordered from in the past and they were sold out of all #10 cans until September. Guess the Feds are getting ready for the Zombie Apocalypse too.

Good luck in trying to find mountain house products. Everywhere I checked over the weekend had there food on back order or would let you pre-order for later delivery. I had always purchased Mountain house in the past, but will now try an alternative source since the world seems to be spiraling out of control. More and more people must be purchasing food for storage as it has never been difficult to acquire in the past. I guess it is time now to get food for storage anywhere you can find it in stock before it is too late.

It is not just mountain house, there are a lot of companies and retailers who are unable to keep up with recent demand. Glad I made my preparations a couple of years ago. Food may soon become more valuable than gold.

I really do feel sorry for those who have not prepared for what is to come by now. Just looking at the headlines in recent days should scare the hell out of anyone. Unfortunately most people in the US are living in their own fantasy world. By the time they realize what is happening it will be too late for them. Unfortunately I have many friends and relatives that fit into this category. But when the time comes I will have to set my priorities on my immediate families survival. I have tried to explain to them how important food storage and being prepared is, but it is usually met with laughter and ridicule. Has anyone else encountered this type of response when trying to express the importance of preparation?.

I purchased a 3 month supply of the Thrive products from Costco, and was disappointed in the amount of food for the price. It was very light weight and the taste was very bland compared to Mountain House. The Thrive products would get you by in a pinch, but the quality is lacking. I haven't tried everything out there, but I would suggest anything else over the Thrive Products offered at Costco.

For those who are having a difficult time finding Food Storage products or do not want to wait while they are on back order, we are shipping out daily and have plenty in stock. We have Food Packs starting at $15.95 at a per serving cost $.57--$.93. This is much lower than what anyone else sells for, and the quality and taste is outstanding. Once you try our products I am certain you will purchase more.
Thanks to those who have already taken advantage of our low pricing. And as always there is no obligation to participate in the marketing portion of this business. Any one can order products from us without any further obligation.

Lol.... It's like the story of most auto mechanics, they fix everyone else's cars, but fail to maintain their own. I bet most of those on here as well as those on other survival sites that are hyping about being prepared don't even have a plan of action in place yet. I can really feel a sense of urgency now to prepare. Especially since some of the big suppliers of food storage are running out and can not seem to produce enough to meet the demand. I for one am stocking up and buying food where ever I can get it, while I can, because it is getting more difficult to find as more people are waking up to reality.
