G.E. sold them that reactor over 40 years ago. It was not a great design, but that was not the problem. The cause of the disaster was the belief that something like this could never happen. They believed that when they built on the coast in a seismically active area, and they did not have redundant systems for power supply or cooling. I hate G.E. with a passion, they should be in jail for the shit they are pulling with Obama, but this is not their problem.
