All I hear from you is the rocks rattling inside your empty head. I am going to call the local branch office and tell them to keep a close eye on you, Cameron. You're a spaz. |
Gandhi User ID: 1314920 United States 05/31/2011 12:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You must be patient. Right now they are imploding. The police state is an effort to maintain control. Quoting: GandhiThey would love nothing more to use you as an example or to spread lies about you to make Americans live in fear. Be patient, calm down, quiet the rhetoric, and be ready when the time comes. I'll be waiting for the implosion, but not quietly. I have no good reason to believe that it'll even happen in my lifetime considering some of the fear that I see here. Why would a government that has its civvies so submissive give up their power? I'm done, many in America are upset, but the internet is not secure. You are making a BIG MISTAKE in my opinion. There are other ways......I suggest you find them and direct this energy towards safer, more productive ends. Best of luck, Gandhi. PS I was once like you, but once you get a few more years under your belt, you learn where the boundaries are. |

Apparently the police got physical pretty fast. They say they are going to 'dance' again on Saturday as well. googooflexy (OP) User ID: 1388828 United States 05/31/2011 12:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, stop. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1408609Don't try to play sane moderator all of the sudden. Especially after what happened to Giffords, I think it's entirely reasonable that police would come check on someone who wrote an unbalanced letter mentioning dying in the act of taking action... I think that's suggestive of a certain mindset that could be assumed to be on the edge or just plain coo coo crazy. You went over a line, lost your cool, whatever. As a citizen and a father, I'm frankly glad you were questioned. Looking at the big picture, I too am upset when police abuse their powers - but hostile, angry youth tend to ignore every beneficial act performed by law enforcement and end up with a skewed perspective. Law enforcement mostly does good - like keeping tabs on someone who is in a mental state where they may do harm to themselves or someone else. I mean really, what's your argument here? You were just angry and irrational but not really suicidal or homicidal? You aren't coming off very well here. My position was, from the beginning, defense of my home. I understand that the harsh wording can distract from that, but it doesn't change my intent of the email. Every society needs a police force that's regulated by the people. I get that more than most believe it or not. I live in a pretty rough neighborhood and have actually needed the police on a couple of occasions. I've also seen mis-use of this power. The LAW is the only entity that can legally deprive you of you life, liberty, and/or property. That's not a power I want coming through my door unannounced. It's policy that needs change or people will continue to die. I'll be one of those people if it happens to me. You and your family could become a part of that statistic as well (if you lived in the US and) if someone botches an address. I don't think my statement was out of line because it's a very serious matter that needs to be fixed. And considering I help pay my Congressman and my police's salary, I expect it to be fixed. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace. -Bill Hicks |

Back in the Reagan days I delivered a literature package to my state congressman's home address. Of course the guy didn't answer the door, but I probably got put on some kind of federal harmless nut list. If that happened today, I am sure you would have a swat team at your doorstep . I was pretty agitated too because I heard a "War of the Worlds" type scare broadcast that warned about possible AIDS mutation that would cause Armageddon type devastation. I found out the hard way that Americans don't give a s**t even if 50 million Africans are infected by WHO, and you end up looking like Charlie McCarthy screaming "there everywhere, there everywhere". A slight running off at the mouth again could get your world turned upside down. I don't owe shit to my government OR its officials because they've given me absolutely NO REASON to respect them at all. If I'm in a situation where bullets from police are coming through my windows from their trigger-happy pursuits on someone else, I'll be shooting back and will likely die in the process. The fact that I've warned Mulvaney and his staff about this without them taking corrective action factually means that my blood is on their hands.
