I been following since day one... Onagawa had a fire in the turbine of their only operational reactor but 2 weeks later the report was that their reactor (like Daini's) was below 100 degrees (C, i.e. circulating cooling water not boiling) and thus they were in full shutdown mode and just fine.

Why "IMHO"? What is your reasoning or news source?

What is going on with those cameras, they don't even look like the same day, let alone the same time...

amazingly they do line up when you timelapse it. Its 7:40 am JST I thikn they will look more similar around 11 or 12

Indeed. And, there was an explosion reported at #4 yesterday as well. Not good. Not fucking good at all.

Looks like somethings cooking..anyone have a link for breaking news on this maybe or a link to first agency who should get any news about this..

For sure some of this is that spent fuel, there is just so much of the stuff! I just wonder if it inst progressing more as we near the 3 month mark. Its kind of strange that this "fog" is so sporadic and dense at the same time. It is dark no doubt but it seems consistent with most of the steam releases, it just appears to have come from a wider source than solely coming from reactor 4's top.

Do you think so?

in spirit yes, I do think something is odd. The density, and dissipation are interesting.

I am able to tell the difference between the real fog that rolls in front of the camera through the valley between the cam and Daiichi, and the fog that is over the plant, they are two different colors and move differently. odd

This was a beautiful touristy place before March 3, and according to the weather we have seen over the last 5 weeks, WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO VISIT it rains and is foggy all the time....

however, I have only been studying the tape 18 hours a day for 5 weeks, and not years so can't say conclusively.

what if there was a much bigger leak of the '#4 SFP and its going to be pretty hot water, enough to release steam,, maybe its leaked all into the ground water.

maybe instead of a steam explosion its more of a slower release..

the radiation levels around that point are at levels that you would die within a few weeks, not instantly. In the drywell (inside the reactor) the level was high enough to kill you in under a minute. Out there, I doubt we will see our friend in 2-3 weeks

this needs more attention im not sure thats just fog

He did look disoriented, to a layman. I also noticed when he was laying down he wasn't "at ease" or "comfortable" is a better word for it.
