So when people complain about America having too many guns, keep in mind that a handgun in the hands of a trained citizen, in this case a woman can be the equalizer. As we say here, guns in the hands of honest citizens makes for a polite society. And before I get any knee-jerk responses, the criminals have the weapons and the rest of us don't. That's not going to change.

Also, states that have instituted concealed carry have seen their serious crime rate drop. The FBI stats don't lie. Also, the newest statistic out is, serious assaults have dropped significantly as the number of guns purchased has risen. This is certainly more documentable than global warming.
