*** Federal Judge Prohibits Prayer at Texas Graduation Ceremony ***
Obvious violation of the 1st Amendment by a rogue Fed judge:
[link to thehill.com]

A federal judge has ordered a Texas school district to prohibit public prayer at a high school graduation ceremony.

Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery’s order against the Medina Valley Independent School District also forbids students from using specific religious words including “prayer” and “amen.”

The ruling was in response to a lawsuit filed by Christa and Danny Schultz. Their son is among those scheduled to participate in Saturday’s graduation ceremony. The judge declared that the Schultz family and their son would “suffer irreparable harm” if anyone prayed at the ceremony.

When are people going to actually read what is very plainly written in the Constitution for the United States of America? We have freedom of religion here. Of... of... not from and if some kid, a coach, teacher, or even a principle wants to lead a prayer at a school function then that is their business and protected right. The first amendment says:

1st Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Saying a simple prayer in public has nothing to do with congress or making law or establishing anything. It’s just our freedom folks.

"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787

I heard her yesterday on Joe Pags. That guy gets all the interviews it seems. It's Jesus that she isn't allowed to say. She says she shall obey the judge.

She missed her Gandhi moment and is a good sheeple, unfortunately.

*grins* Yeah I think that judge is being a bit...excessive.

lol....."...the Schultz family and their son would 'suffer irreparable harm' if anyone prayed at the ceremony."

:) Hillarious. What a bunch of pussies.

All this is going to achieve is community-discord.

I hope the preservation of the Schultz-family's dainty, sensitive little ears are worth it in the end (btw, bet you anything these douchebags are board-certified, textbook "limousine-liberals", which makes them a disease to the air they breathe...)

Right, I've heard him stand in for somebody, Rush or Hannity or somebody. Excellent dude. 1200am, gotchya.

This story makes me furious beyond words. And it isn't the damnanble treasonous judge who should be removed from the bench, arrested, tried, and imprisoned for hundreds of counts of violations of civil rights, but because the entire community didn't rise up, PRAY, AND THEN HANG THAT SON OF A BITCH THEMSELVES.

From the earlier thread ( Thread: "Federal' Judge threatens "JAIL" to whoever "Prays" or even says "Amen" at "Texas" graduation ceremo ) about this:

I bet "Alluah Akbar" is ok though...
 Quoting: BRIEF

The judge did grant students permission to make the sign of the cross, wear religious garb or kneel to face Mecca.
 Quoting: judge

Three Bribes for the Democrats sneaky and sly,
Seven for the Bankers in their halls of gold,
Nine for Labor Unions sucking us dry,
One for the Liar Chief leaving us cold
In Washington D.C. where politicians lie.

One Bill to rule them all, One Bill to find them,
One Bill to bring them all and in the debt-ness bind them
In Washington D.C. where politicians lie.

No, it's kind of like acknowledging that mysticism has practical applications and is as natural a part of human expression as love or art.

But I wouldn't expect people who live in a self-stiched full-body veil to see that.

More and more of the "Me First People" popping up in Texas.

I think it's time for Texans to let them know they're not wanted here. I know it's not the Texan Way, but the majority of these transplants don't care about Texas one way or the other. They're just here for the economy and to take jobs from Texans.
