They got arrested for not having a permit. Which would have giving them permissive the use of the park. They have the same type laws in some of Ohio Cities. If you want the use of a city park for any event? You will have to have a permit from the owner of said park. |

They were feeding people in need...and are arrested for what? Could they not have given a warning or notice of the regulations without the b.s.? A little compassion from tptb might be nice! |

In a capitalist society yes it does. I'm not being hostile just answering to your question. People that own property here, probably would rather that the law protect them, as taxpayers, from having lines of destitute people on their lawns getting fed. The same laws and statutes that protect property owners protect places like zones close to city hall etc...from having feeding lines. These people that fed them their heart is definitely in the right place for sure, but there's a very important lesson here in "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto the Lord what is the Lord's." What I'm saying with that isn't to use the words of Christ to say that feeding homeless is wrong, as that's pure hypocrisy and I wouldn't try to do that. I'm just saying that there's a place, in this world, to be conscious and act according to the will of God with compassion for your fellow man, and that place, according to the rule of law, is not everywhere. Unfortunate as it is, as shameful as it is. One of the burdens we all bear as being taxpayers is that we support this house of cards in all of it's idiosyncracies even if many things go against our purest intentions. To be childlike and free from the burden of these laws...but to find a land here where you could do that would be hard put. Laws govern it all...but render unto Caesar what is Caesars. You can feed the homeless, in this great nation, but you have to do it according to the law. |

If you do the will of God, alot of times you can be considered a criminal. If you seek to do the most good, sometimes you have to abide by the law of the land. "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto the Lord what is the Lord's." |
