People get violent or just shut down when their views on life are challenged. No one led us to the water, it came from within. WE wanted to seek knowledge. No matter what page we respectively are on, we are generally open minded people here, unafraid to listen to, and share, our own opinions and thoughts that are "outside the box". I'd say it's not even worth wasting yout time. Knowing human nature, they are only going to ignore you, or get angry and throw a fit. Either way, you waste your time.

It gets difficult when people spend so much energy to wake people up and get attacked and ridiculed for it. So i see both viewpoints.

Bring something as innocuous as this up in a conversation; obvious subliminal and subversive mind-control features in news programs. Repeating buzz words over and over and over within a 60 second block, flashing red and blue, the attention grabbing music and themes on the news shows on the news broadcasts, and they look at you like a deer in headlights. They look at the shit every night, and they still deny it's there and happening. It's impossible.

I was at a thrift store and came across an old book about the federal reserve so I got in line to buy it. The woman next to me in line noticed the title and started going off about the federal reserve. I told her that I was well aware and she looked surprised that I already knew about it.

That was pretty cool.

Some people, don't even seem to be aware that you can use the internet to get free books, free education, breaking news and other gems. It's just a tool to get to their FarceBooks and check their e-mails, and little more.

You know, to make the argument that more and more people are waking up all the time, look at the increase in the listenership of Coast to Coast AM. That show went from being on short wave radio with Art Bell to being on major radio stations, syndicated natinally and internationally. The number of people who tune in is said the be in the millions.

Maybe more people are waking up all the time.

On another note, I have to wonder if, as one wakes up, there is a grieving process that we go through. Learning that the economy really is collapsing, that those in power are greedy with no regard for human life or the health of the environment (let alone the future of mankind or the planter). Learning that the system is in place not to help or protect, but to control us. It's not easy to cope with this change in your understanding of the nature of the world you live in.

Maybe the 80+% that are still asleep just choose to stay in the denial stage of the grieving process....

Good points. Sure people choose to stay asleep, they admit it often. There like the guy in the Matrix that didn't want reality he felt better in the illusion and sold out his friends to get it back.

Imagine if you were raised a Christian, you felt you knew the truth and was very passionate about your beliefs. Then you find out most of the Beliefs of the Christian religion are based on older versions of Paganism, Astrology and other Secret Orders. And the people that started the Church designed it for control and unrest.

If your Christian i am not knocking your beliefs, everyone has their own path.

I also have to wonder if, for those of us who are awake or in the waking up process, if being in those stages of grief is why so many of us seem to have a hard time coping in the world. Does that make sense?
