Where has the moon been? seriously please explain.....

okay seriously....if that is a new moon...that has been the longest new moon ever. Does anyone anywhere see the moon?

North Carolina here. Haven't seen the moon in WEEKS. It has not been a new moon for weeks. I would also love to know where the moon is.

I saw the moon last night at about 9:00. I looked like a small sliver and I made a comment to my wife about it. When we got home an hour later, it was no where to be found

my google space android app showed the moon is above my house near or in the constilation pollux. i went outside to try to see it, its 1145 my time, and its hazy. so most likely you may have to be up at 4 or 5 am to see it rise if your in the us right now. although it does seem like the moon is out of place a bit, i assure you its still lurking about. at least dish earth says so.

Don't know much about the moon but I saw it last night just a sliver low on horizon 9 o clock north west direction more west live Toledo Ohio

Glad you bought this up. Was driving home from down town tonight & noticed the moon looked like one of those Werewolf movies. All I could see was a sliver of moon with what looked like dark grey drapes over it (obviously clouds) but it looked eerie!!!
Then it 'disappeared. The rest of the sky was clear & I could see plenty of stars but it was as if the 'drapes' had been drawn & it was no longer viewable.
When I got home I went out the back, my son & his mate were there & we all tried to find it. His mate said he noticed how weird it was when they walked home earlier.
Real creepy, it was as though it had been cloaked.

The "moon isn't right" tards are probably the most stupid group on GLP.

It took a vacation outside of this solar system. She was tired and needed a break in the normal routine. Don't worry though, I heard she was back on her way in and that you should start to see her again in a couple days, like 5-10.

My area says it's still rising in the morning, and it's faint, so it could be hard to see it with any clouds what so ever... Guess that's why it's missing? You just can't see it well with cloud cover? I think so!

That's because it had set by then.

I live in Texas and no moon. I live in the country so we are away from the city lights. I can see the sky with no problems. NO MOON.

Obviously you never learned that the Moon rises and sets about an hour later each day as it progresses through its phases. It was just recently new so it is now a waxing crescent and will be seen just after sunset before it sets. It will set later and later as it grows (waxes) until it is full and rises about 6pm with it setting about 6 am and then it will shrink (wane) until it is new again. You didn't see it because it wasn't rising until later and later each night and then in the day. Learn some freaking science please!
