I used to be a shill by virtue of working for a political party in the UK.
Only when they sacked me because I started telling the elected members what the didn't want to hear about how they'd fucked up and that's why they lost control, they sacked me. They'd rather surround themselves will people who constantly agree with their stupid ideas (which is why politics is so messed up these days).
Now I'll no longer stick up for them when they mess up, and let me tell you it's incredibly liberating.
