DEBTORS PRISON MAKING A COMEBACK IN AMERICA!!!!
People are being put in jail for not being able to pay debts. In a country where the banks created the "recession" they are now putting people in jail for not being able to pay.

American Jurisprudence, 2nd Edition, quotes about Constitution:
No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law, and no courts are bound to enforce it.
Under our form of government, the legislature is not supreme ... like other departments of government, it can only exercise such powers as have been delegated to it, and when it steps beyond that boundary, its acts, like those of the most humble magistrate in the state who transcends his jurisdiction, are utterly void.

Well, it's 3 hots and a cot, with round-the-clock security. Better than the homeless shelters, which only allow you to stay at night, then boot you out on the street come daylight.

True, but I would rather be at home.. A man that owed on a truck after loosing his job...was arrested in front of his kids. He didn't even know that he had a warrant.

I like this comment on the video page,

"Wait, if people can go to jail for not paying bills, then why aren't the police raiding Capitol Hill right now?"

Indentured servants, serve! The states will lease your service out to the highest foreign bidder to recover your debt. You will be jammed into a cargo container and shipped to [place] to help [task], your debt contract will be shredded in front of you as you're crammed in like fries in a french fry basket. Delicious. You will be raped and forced to give birth to more slave children. Those who refuse to work will be harvested for protein.

Got to love the asshole Tea Party commentary. So please
explain:

1) You are a trust fund baby and never have to worry about
losing a job.

2) You got lucky, like owning a shit hole home that became
"worth" $2M and then sold it.

3) Your just fucking stupid and don't think you could ever
end up losing your income.

The whole point idgit is that the US made laws against debtors prison back in the 1800's.. There has to be a law before you respect it.

Sign a petition to support the efforts to keep people who because of loosing a job, or receiving pay cuts, cannot keep up car loans and utility bills from going to jail.. It might be you next when you lose your job.

Come on people PIN this. Give the people who have lost everything to this economy that the BANKS helped create a chance to protect themselves. And NO I am not in this position YET. Wait another 6 mo. and the numbers will dramatically increase.. You will be protecting yourself if you lose your job or even get ANOTHER pay cut that puts you behind.

They are using the prisons already built. They just throw them in with the rest.

Most of the stories are of regular working people who have fallen to the economic downturn. Tell me this? Is it better to put someone in jail to languish and have NO chance to pay their debts at a cost to the taxpayer or give them the opportunity to pay the bills? Smart economics there! Has anyone said "People should not pay their bills? NO There could be some kind of consequence but how does prison fit the bill? Tell us how.. Were Waiting!sheeplebah
