Enchanted Wanderer, I just finished going through the videos and pictures you re-posted on page 25 of the other thread.
I didn't get the impression that the mom was lying or was an actress or anything, she seemed quite real. But the story, as you pointed out, is difficult to understand as she explained it.
It's hard to say why things end up the way they do after a tornado. But I agree with you in that it's weird the bike helmet was right there next to the bathtub.
And I also didn't see where they could have ran to a ditch during the brief time she says the eye of the tornado was over them.

My husband and I spent two hours going over the video and researching other bath tub stories from previous tornados, in all cases that we could find, the tub saved them because it remained affixed to the foundations. Had it of been ripped from those foundations they would not of survived.

If you look at that there is just no way in hell that toilet hit the child first.. it would of flattened the b/f first and either remained ontop of them or got picked back up by the wind.
Its also the fact she said they got up in the eye of it and ran ... come on.. even I know there is not a big enough eye in a tornado to get up and run through .. the Joplin tornado took approx 3 mins to pass over .. it would of taken 3 mins just to get the b/f up out of the tub and off them let alone get 2 adults, 1 child and a puppy all out of the tub and then run.. to where?? as you said.. there is no ditch any where near that rubble..
Its just too obvious and the reason alot of the naysayers have gone quiet on it is because they cant debunk it. If they say anything at all its only to insult they cant actually address the physics of it coz its bs.
