On-demand publishing has made it easy peasey to get your book in the hands of people who want it. Createspace.com has a variety of MS Word book templates and sizes you can download in industry standard book sizes.
Publishing your book is a two step process with them. First is to upload your MS Word doc as a PDF, then you'll upload your cover as three images: front, back and spine.
They'll also get you an ISBN so you don't have to buy an expensive block of five ISBNs from whatever company manages that.
They also have a program where they will make your book available to a wide variety of extended distribution partners. Your keep for each sale through Amazon and extended partners is around 1/2 the sale price, which is pretty much an industry standard. In retail sales, it's call the "keystone" or 50% profit margin.
Personally, I do much better selling through my personal website at [
