Obama is responsible for what happens on his watch and the policy he sets and promotes. He certainly is not moving in the direction most of us want to see. So he can suffer the consequences of his own failures. That means the blame get shifted to him just like any other president. I personally thin congress is to blame for most of our problems. They have made themselves irrelevant.

George Carlin, far from being just a comedian was a brilliant linguist, philosopher, statesman and had an incredible insight and quite a handle on the human condition and human nature itself.

You'll not see his like again.

I, for one, feel that we, as a species, actually lost a good friend when George passed.

I do miss him.

It depends on who you're listening too. "So-called conservatives" like everybody on ClearChannel radio and Fox news will bash Obama just for ratings and to keep listeners and viewers off the track of what's really going on. They have to put up this fake left vs right bs, and they all play their roles.
Obama is not innocent though. Obama has practically carried on the work of George W Bush and he's no stranger to towing the line for the corporatists left/right cronies. Obama has abandoned even many of his own platforms from 2008. I can't see how Democrats could vote for this warhawk still.

However, is Mr. Carlin correct in that the political system itself is totally broken and we, the American people, have simply reaped what we've sown and received just what we've asked for inasmuch as we are too stupid to see it, recognize the inherent evil within and fix it?

Or were the German people simply to politically blind and patriotically rabid to stop the madman.

I blame the Democratic Congress from 2006 -2010 more than Obama himself they gave him a blank check to run amok, THEY gave the banks money, NOT Bush and then MORE money. The House Senate and White House all being Democrat is pure disaster.
