If everything you know is wrong then you will most likely be totally blind to what is right. An excellent example would be people who continue to live in blissfull ignorance of the economic, political, and moral chaos around them because they don't see the truth of it reported in their beloved and trusted "news" media.
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787

I think it is time we understand the real world we are living in instead of living in the one that is feeding on us. Opening the mind can be quite intense but staying asleep is down right terrifying. Look at what is happening in our world and understand it is because of our complacency and sense of powerlessness that these power driven forces have been able to destroy our right to be human beings, the co creators of life, if we choose. Or we can continue to remain asleep to our own demise. We had a working government in this country once upon a time however it is all owned and controlled by corporations now. Just do a little fact checking better yet look at this documentary call "Generation RX". How can we ever know who we are with such forces imposing its will on us.

Ive been photographing the sun and what I have discovered is amazing. If I can capture this with my camera I know that our government knows about this but they are keeping us in ignorance intentionally.

The problem of internet era is flood of information; if you’re not seeking for the truth as it is but for information that support your paradigm, you shall always find them.

The way to tackle with this mess is Critical Thinking

- rely on reason rather than emotion;
- require evidences, and follow them where they lead;
- seek for the truth as it is, without trying to prove you’re right;
- analyze apparent contradictions and ask questions;

We’re entitled to our own believes, but not to our own realities.

Re: What if everything you know is wrong?
When (if ever) we know the truth, we shouldn't be surprised to learn that our interpretations are not accurate.

1) Science, mostly Physics and non bio sciences are incorrect.
2) Math is incorrect, starting at the number line.
3) Our perception of time is inaccurate.
4) Our perception of reality is hampered by these fallacies.

I have been wrong about things my whole life, but it's only because I ignored my feelings (intuition) that something wasn't right. In the last 7/8 years I have paid more attention to how I feel in a situation or people.

Nine times out of ten, that gut feeling you're having about something, is usually spot on. Go with it, don't ignore it.

I try to do this, too. Things flow more smoothly.
I have a little problem, though.

I judge people by their eyes. Unintentionally at first until I realized what was going on.

If I don't like their eyes I don't have anything else to do with them. It's like I just can't. I don't want them to look at or speak to me.

I feel like this is wrong. Aren't we supposed to reach out to everyone?

And sunglasses--I can't seem to have a conversation with someone who won't take them off inside.
I take mine off when I'm talking to someone--inside or outside. It just seems to be the polite thing to do.

I do the same. That's the first thing I notice about a person.
If I get bad vibes when looking in their eyes, I know that person isn't to be trusted. I do this with everyone I meet.

Interesting question . . . .

"What if everything you know is wrong?"

If that was the case and you knew it, then would that not also be wrong? chuckle

The problem of internet era is flood of information; if you’re not seeking for the truth as it is but for information that support your paradigm, you shall always find them.
