All society is structered in that direction, its accepted, understood and rewarded..

When you step out of the materialistic flow and seek spiritual goals it isnt easy and usually you have many tests, trials and disappointments..

Comes a time when even though you want to see goodness, when you want to believe in goodness you run out of excuses..

There still remains nature nd the beautiful sincere simplicity of it :-)

Re: music bridges the divide
Lets take a look at the human experience without tbe spiritual element..i think it more or less goes along these lines:

A person is born..learns to walk..talk..compete...goes to school meets more people, learns, and learns to compete against others...leaves school..has to usually get a job ..where one again competes against others...a job to make money in or to survive and or become ric , richer than others

Starts dating...usually based on looks and or economical position..with some exception
Has sex.. dates several people and eventually settles down and gets married...buys house..or rents..has children or tries...
Children go to school starting the same process again.....gets old and dies

Intersperced with odd meals out, maybe getting drunk or high, odd travel here and there..maybe in some cases a bit power and success thrown in for diversity...but thats the gist of it

Re: music bridges the divide
But if you look at life through the spiritual spectrum the possibilities are endless

Your reason of existence becomes not to satisfy your bodies needs..not to have the best car, the biggest house, the best ho,idays, the best meals in the best restaurants..drink the best booze, or get high, or buy things, or have sex with different people alo g the way that have different degreees of hotness in tbeir favor..etc..

Life becomes a spiritual quest..in search of gnosis..spiritual knowldge..spiritual advancement..understanding..a means of growing spiritually and becoming Christlike

Life becomes open to many experiences and possibilities alll guiding towards the ultimate goal...that of becoming one with the willl of God..a union..or better said....a reunion...as one with God and all of creation

One steps aside and out of the ra e..and observes the race nd the racers..

Then one no longer needs the biggest house, the best car, the hottest chick, the hottest dude..the best of everythi g in a flawed attempt to filll the inner void and to help forget ones mortality because o e already has everything within

So you value sll from a spiritul perpective..because you love a d live with your spirit not with your body

You beco e detached from the thi gs of the world while being in it

And you understand what love is...real love..based and rooted in the spirit..that is timeless and eternal and unconditional

Love that doesnt expect perfection..Love that doesnt have to forgive Love that never dies because not conditioned by anything that is passing in nature

Love that is gentle and kind..timeless and unconditional...and of the spirit

Re: music bridges the divide
perhaps then, seems a bit robotic in those terms...human emotions, well, on the whole, cant be just disregarded. I have experienced such greater things, whether good, and lately, very bad...but hope has never subsided, well, maybe for a bit...but, you have always delivered that needed spark...why??..I do not know..doesn't stop me from being thankful for your human existence. I also feel you are much more than that...I can't pretend to know your latest struggles, but i am always here for you....even if you don't need a thing....but, if you need anything, anything at allroseroserose

Re: music bridges the divide
hugs Thank you Exiled

The body is important and this reality is also..as is this planet..
It all has a reason and serves a purpose. The body sides the spirit and the spirit aides the body
But the life and values that we have been programmed to live by are something different imo..alien to the original blueprint..and chains that keep us from being free and finding fulfilment and inner peace..

It isnt easy to choose to live reality from a spiritual perspective because all is geared in the opposite direction..and rewarded socially..and there are temptations that try to divert one from the path..

Thats why i posted my thought of the day:-)

Re: music bridges the divide
Living life from a spiritual perspective doesnt necessarily mean to live a monastic life..one can still have a house, job, marry have a family etc... but all is geared to service to God..His will..the Kingdom
All is sanctified for Him, to Him, at His service..for His Glory

The job, the material posesions..the union, love, marriage, the family, the children, the life..all at His service, for Him and His Glory...all sanctified for this and because of this

that feels better

The Great Spirit or Great Mystery is generally believed to be personal, close to the people, and immanent in the fabric of the material world.

now we have linked to what we commonly knew 4000 years ago before our abrahimic notions of god became popular
and it matches what we have discovered recently much closer that the notions we possessed in the last few thousand years rockon
