Anyway, as I'm rounding the corner there's a guy walking on the side of the road and as I pass I notice he's obviously a traveller, big backpack, over grown hair, walking boots...serious kinda pedestrian..wasn't out for just a morning walk, the guy lives his life like that. He had on a giant pair of headphones and seemed to be in his own world, who knows what he was listening to...but after I passed this guy I felt a glimpse into what that lifestyle would be like...the freedom in it...yet at the same time the lonliness. In that moment I felt a little jealous of that guy...and the life I imagined he lives... |

Could be an enlightening experience to sit and share a joint and conversation with a bloke like that. I've learned a bit from a few. __________ He saw me lost and he saw me found [link to www.youtube.com] And he said I don't know what I've been looking for.... Maybe me |

Maybe me I think it's what most people look for...themselves. I've picked up a hitchiker once in my life and looking back on it now I can't believe I did, it wasn't a bad experience at all but it could have been dangerous...some guy trying to get home to his family (mother had a stroke or something) and this was in the boonies of northern minnesota in October. He could barely speak english though...so it was more of a "did my best to help out" situation more than enlightening. |
| Zen Bollix User ID: 27794780 11/20/2012 01:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Howdy, howdy......... Oh, there are ducks and geese here also in a city human-made kind of pond (8 feet deep). They get fed too good to migrate anywhere and have a small island in that pond to go to. Of course there are other ducks and geese in the river and going where they go I guess (the geese fly overhead making a lot of noise along the way (at least I think they are geese going up North or South or wherever they are going). I think the ducks and geese are getting fat though perhaps. (??) Ya, there is also deer and other wild life here also since the one political party thinks humans have to live with them. Too bad the ones who usually pass these kind of laws aren't living with the bears (out East) and the mountain lions and cougars also seen in the area. Ya, ship them to the big cities! (no, not in a zoo, but outside with their freedom like rocky racoons, those little burgulars that they are. |
| ArunaLuna ~(0)>(0)~ User ID: 10044600 11/20/2012 01:44 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi Zen...the ones here are kinda scrawny this year...not much weight to them...the pond I pass is a natural feature but it's not usually so inhabited by wildlife...I used to think because of the size but it's probably more to do with no fish in it. I rarely see racoons around here unless they're dead on the highway...but I live in town so that's not unusual. My brothers place butts up to some DNR land that will never be developed so he gets more wildlife traffic at his place...the deer come in and eat off his apple trees. It'd be nice to have a place like that but I'm sooooo far from being ready to live out in the country just yet. Last Edited by ArunaLuna on 11/20/2012 01:45 PM |

| Zen Bollix User ID: 27794780 11/20/2012 02:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't really live out in the Country either, just the rural somewhat of a larger city within a group of cities surrounded by smaller cities. They like to say it is out in the rural for it use to be rural, but then why does everyone have a city address then? (and streets are addressed also out in the rural nowadays). But then a couple of cougars have been seen on the other side of the just about outskirts of the town and also a mountain lion one time in the stadium of a State University one time. Over-deer populations have to be hunted also nowadays and they pay them to do that. There is a talk-show on the radio in this town and the guy is/was also a hunter so the talk goes that way sometimes because otherwise no one would hear about that kind of thing around here on the local news anyway. It ain't the Wild West no more, but subdued West. Anyway I gave up fishing a long time ago (and some kids kept my fishing poles and moved away) because I never caught any anyway. |
