Anyone read the book?

The book is way better than the movie. Great read.

Damn, that's a lot of t.v....that's quite the endurance...have never been able to watch more than 2 of the episodes before getting burned out.

Yes! The book was great, and for the most part, the miniseries was good too. I think the first part, where society crumbles and falls apart due to the superflu was the most interesting.

I haven't seen it. Will have to check it out.

Jamey Sheridan's role of the Dark Man aka- Randall Flag was portrayed well i thought.

Mother Abagail was great too. Who wouldn't like her?

When it was on TV back in the mid 90's i didn't watch it.

i was about 17 years behind on this one.

Epic guitar journey...who ever did the musical castings for that movie had a good feel for music. Most of the songs chosen were so right in a time when most movies get it soooo wrong.

my daughter just met gary sinise in a LA movie line the other nite.

him and the wife took the nite off from the kids.. sweet guy.

Its pretty good, Kind of a dark comedy,but very Stephen King'ish.

I have a weird thing with The Stand.

When I got a copy of the book, it got lost. Nowhere to be found. I search for weeks.

So I get the miniseries. It gets lost. Nowhere to be found. I search for weeks.

I give up searching, and buy another copy of the book. When I get home with the new book, I find three copies of the book sitting on the bookshelf in a row.



Still can't find the damn movie.
