Midwest Flooding could solve water problems in California
During the last Great Depression the interstate system was built and provided a great number of jobs.

A new massive infrastructure project could lift the continent out of the current Great Depression.

The west coast is facing severe drought. Why not take a page from Gaddafi's 8th Wonder of the World, and build a water pipeline to carry the flood level waters from the mid west to the west coast.

I have been calling for this for the past Thirty Year. It would not take much pumping as all we would have to do would be to pump the water just west of the Continental Divide in three places so that it ran in our western rivers to dams where it could be stored.

The water behind Hoover dam is running lower and lower because of use by the states of Nevada, Arizona and California. We need to do this NOW!
