Mary The Mother of Jesus, Who Was She? Who was her first born son
J J Raymond [link to www.jjraymond.com] has an interesting and changeling way of explaining the origins of Yahoshua (Jesus) though the Hasmonean bloodline. Though I don't agree with all he has to say on the subject he certainly has opened my understanding to why Herod would have wanted Yahoshua dead. I Believe Herod the son of Herod the Great feared Yahoshu's bloodline who he thought was Hasmonean, Thread: Hasmonean which would qualify Yahoshua to be both Hight Prest and King.
J J Raymond does a study on this theory, who to me in my research on this subject give me and understanding of why Herod the Great would have had the children killed two years and under. He had his eldest son killed in the same time frame who had married a Hasmonean princess and her blood line was heir to the Hasmonean throne. If Yahoshua was a Roman citizen the Roman law would not have allowed Yahoshua to be put to death with out a ruling from Pilate and Herod the son of Herod The Great. So in Herod's mind Yahoshua would have been a threat, if in fact his mother was a Hasmonean princess. Which would make Jesus the Nazoraion both high priest and King, in the Hasmonean order, which the majority of the Jews of the day still believed should be restored.

Re: Mary The Mother of Jesus, Who Was She? Who was her first born son
Antipater The first born son of Herod the Great (Herod's half brother) had two wives the second wife, her name is unknown she was from the Hasmonean bloodline. Herod the Great had his first born son killed, his name was Antipater, at the time he had the babies killed to keep Yahoshua the Nazoraion from growing up an taking the throne as high priest and King.

Do we know the identity of the wives of Antipater (son of Herod)? The only source, to my knowledge, would be Josephus. Sure enough there are at least two wives of Antipater listed by Josephus: (a) his 1/2 brother Aristobulus' daughter (Antiquities, Book XVII, Chapter 1) and (b) "the daughter of Antigonus, who was the last king of the Jews before Herod" (Antiquities, Book XVII, Chapter 5). Neither wife is identified by name. Poor Antipater, his father Herod killed the fathers of both his wives. All joking aside, I nearly fell out of my chair upon the discovery that Antipater was indeed married to a daughter of Antigonus. Why? Antigonus was the mortal enemy of Herod. Antipater was the crown prince. Certainly Herod could not have been pleased that his chosen successor had made the daughter of his mortal enemy his principal wife. FN7 This fact adds context to Herod's eventual execution of Antipater, and the boy under 2 years were killed. Hearod thought antipater to be the Father of Yahoshua because of the marriage of Antipater to the daughterof Antigonus who was King of the Jews before Herod under the Hasmonean rule.

He had them killed for one reason and one reason only , Herod was afraid of this prophesized king causing the people to rebel against him and displacing his bloodline and favor with caesar .

Mary was the chosen vessel for Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ to be born through, because Mary had both the bloodline of King David and the bloodline of the Levitical priesthood through her parents . This was to fulfill prophecy that Jesus would come from these two bloodlines .

Mary is simply the God chosen vessel of our savior and is not to be prayed to , she is just a human like you and I , there is only one mediator between us and Our Fathe and that is Christ Jesus. Praying to all he saints angels and Mary is idolatry and nothing more.

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. †.

There is more and it has been covered up long enough.
Then Yahoshua said to them, "How is it that they say I am the son of David? David himself declares in the Book of Psalms: 'YHWH said to my Adoni, sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.' David calls the Adoni 'my Lord'. Yahoshua himself says he is not a son of David."

Uh...duh, she was the mother of Jesus....nothing more, nothing less. I really don't know what you are looking for here. She was a normal human woman who God chose to bring forth the redeemer through. She was probably a devout Jew, but persecuted for her pregnancy, having to endure false accusation from the public.

Etymology

The word "Mara" comes from the Proto-Indo-European root *mer meaning to die, and so it is related to the European Mara, the Slavic Marzanna and the Latvian Māra.[2]

Joseph and Mary, had a total of 8 children after Jesus, that were completely their children. Jesus was not the biological son of Joseph. One of their sons died of a fever. They are all listed pretty much in the bible, the sons and daughters.

If she's not Antipater's daughter, then how exactly does that have anything to do with these bloodline lists... except to say, "Look, he killed someone else, too!" which like... wow, surprise!!! to you, apparently...

Wisdom would allow you to see the path within your own responses but you are so busy looking externally that you do not know how to look internally.

I intimidate no one, it is not required.

You can have no intelligent conversation about Mary for you know nothing about her.

Mary was the Shekinah manifested. Her back story was designed deliberately to establish those with great faith. When dealing with Deities there are no lies for they can create any truth they wish.

But you are dealing with abilities that are very difficult for a human to understand; such as multiple manifestations that are unique yet still connected to and operating as a singular entity/deity. Mary is a manifestation.

Explaining though is a waste of time. One has faith because they sense the divine presence and the writings of their values resonate with them.

Only faith and resonance can provide a solid foundation; your "intelligent discussion" is weak and cannot sustain.

We know from Josephus that Antipater (Herod the Great son and heir to the throne) had a wife who was not only an Hasmonean princess but the daughter of Antigonus, we also are operating under the reasoned assumption that Luke 3 contains the genealogy of Mary the mother of Jesus. This brings us to Luke 3 contain the names of Hasmonean kings?

Mary Daughter of Antigonus

Below in column 1 are the first 7 ancestors from the Luke 3 list (in reverse chronological order). Column 2 lists Antigonus and his ancestors. See Hasmonean family tree.

For now, let's set aside Heli (given as father of Mary in Luke 3).
We know that King Antigonus also used the name "Mattatayah". During his dual rein as king and high priest,
he had coins minted inscribed with the words:
"Mattatayah High Priest".
. Thus, Mattatayah Antigonus matches up nicely with "Matthat" found in Luke 3.
Note: Mattatayah is the Hebrew form of Mattathias....

I am talking about a part of history besides the main line thought. Mary was the mother of Yahoshua she among many things was a Princess of the Hasmonean order.
Herod the Great as his son Herod wanted Yahoshua dead because he was a rightful heir to the throne thought the Hasmonean bloodline. That does not take away from all the other bloodline orders that are mentioned.

Re: Mary The Mother of Jesus, Who Was She? Who was her first born son
Brief History of the Maccabeans their Kings were Hamonean as well as their Priests. Notice Antipater in the last part of this history. For Herod the Great to kill 2 year old boys and younger and to kill his rightful heir in the same time period shows that he believed Yahoshua to be the son of his first born son the rightful heir and a high priest which was called the son of Elohim or YHWH (God), because Herod the Great knew of his second marriage of his son to a Hasmonean princess. Around this time Herod the Great had his son killed also.

This Antipater is the Gran father of Antipater the son of Herod the Great, Antipater was named after his grandfather Antipater.

But there were some who "knew their God," that He was able to deliver, and so they were made "strong," and did "exploits." This refers to Mattathias, an aged Priest, and his sons, known as the Maccabees, who, from BC 166 to BC 47, fought to restore the national life of Israel. Mattathias, driven to desperation by the outrages of Antiochus, raised a revolt against him, and fled to the mountains with a number of followers, zealous for the faith of Israel. Two years later he died and was succeeded by his third son, Judas, known as "The Hammer," who by avoiding pitched battles, and by guerrilla warfare, defeated and routed every Syrian army sent against him, and in BC 165 retook Jerusalem, purified the Temple, and restored the daily sacrifice. He fell in battle in BC 160, and was succeeded by his younger brother Jonathan, a High Priest. During the leadership of Jonathan the Syrians were engaged in civil war, so Judea was left in peace, and Jonathan strengthened his position by making a treaty with the Romans and the Spartans. He was treacherously slain by a Syrian general in BC 143, and was succeeded by his bother Simon, the last remaining son of Mattathias. Simon and two of his sons were treacherously slain by his son-in-law in BC 135. His son John, known as John Hycanus, who escaped, succeeded him and had a long and prosperous reign. Others in the same line followed, with varying success, until the Maccabeans, falling into disfavor, were succeeded by the Idumaen, Antipater, in BC 47. After the murder of Antipater, BC 43, Marc Anthony visited Syria, and appointed two of Antipater's sons, Phasaelus and Herod, afterward known as "Herod the Great" (BC 37 to BC 4) to look after the jewish people. Herod the Great was King when Christ was born in BC 4. Matthew 2:1-15. From this we see that the Maccabees bridged the greater part of the period from Antiochus Epiphanes to the Birth of Christ. - copied

Re: Mary The Mother of Jesus, Who Was She? Who was her first born son
J J Raymond has an interesting and changeling way of explaining the origins of Yahoshua (Jesus) Hasmonean bloodline. Though I don't agree with all he has to say on the subject he certainly has opened my understanding to why Herod would have wanted Yahoshua dead. I Believe Herod the son of Herod the Great feared Yahoshu's bloodline who he thought was Hasmonean.
J J Raymond does and excellent study on this theory, who to me in my research on this subject give me and understanding of why Herod the Great would have had the children killed two years and under. He had his eldest son killed in the time frame who had married a Hasmonean princess and was heir to the throne. If Yahoshua was a Roman citizen the Roman law would not have allowed Yahoshua to be to death with out a ruling from Pilate and Herod, the son of Herod. The Great. So in Herod's mind Yahoshua would have been a threat, if in fact his mother was a Hasmonean princess. Which would make Jesus the Nazoraion both high priest and King.

Yahoshua or Jesus or Iesous is not to be prayed to eighter.

When we pray to the Highest our Father in Heaven- Yahoshua the Nazoraion.

Re: Mary The Mother of Jesus, Who Was She? Who was her first born son
He is the opposite of the pure egoism and has protection against it and the power to defeat it, but He comes directly from the Absolute - direct from the Father. And has no defense against impurity. He conquers through love, but can do nothing against the destruction and the sabotage of satan. As with the Father, He only exists in a defenseless as a lamb.

His character is so delicate that if He had come into contact with impurity during His childhood, His first period of development such as lies, deceit, disobedience, or the like, He could no longer have been the Son. The smallest impurity would have prevented His awakening and therefore His becoming man only after His second awakening and when He had the Spirit within Him could He offer resistance to the impurity and have the power over satan.

He had to become man, and that means that He had to be born to a woman who was a real human and not some special being that was created artificially by some means or another. How can a body that is tainted by Satan produce the perfect altruist?

The answer is simple; if she had ever been tainted by Satan she would never have been able to be the mother of the Son. This was the advantage of the Jewish environment, of her parents and her surroundings, there a girl could grow up so that to the moment she became a mother, she had never shown one act of disobedience against her God; and this was Maria. Her purity and obedience were so perfect that she had reached the total denial of her body ego. She had no conscious distinction between good and evil, only the distinction between what God permitted and what He forbid. She was one of the rare beings who had not eaten of the tree of knowledge. The influence of her surroundings, not her birth, had made her absolutely pure and capable of being the mother of the Son of God.____Iarga

Where again is Antipater in your list?? Where are all the other Hasmoneans in these bloodline lists?

If she was Hasmonean, it should be listed and clear. And if she was Antipater's child, that should also be listed.

If she's not Antipater's daughter, then how exactly does that have anything to do with these bloodline lists... except to say, "Look, he killed someone else, too!" which like... wow, surprise!!! to you, apparently...

Typical biblebabble.
 Quoting: Sandi_T

Go to [link to www.jjraymond.com] and look at the chart under Antipater.

Herod the Great had the baby boys killed to make sure this blood line would not survive.

Re: Mary The Mother of Jesus, Who Was She? Who was her first born son
Wife of Sanat Kumara. Her name is Anna. pronounced Ah NAH. Their son of long standing from the days of Lyra is Esu Immanuel Sananda Kumara, who played the role of Jesus. The bloodline was of no real importance because for incarnations of this sort, the embryo's are custom created.
 Quoting: Nobody in Particular

If the Hasmonaean bloodline was not important, why did Herod the Great go to great lengths to kill off the Hasmonaean blood line?
