I say let them do it. We'll call it the final determining factor. If they can remove religious impulses and wipe the mention of God off the earth by manipulating genes, then God is not real, and man is God, but if they fail, then all religion haters shut up forever and come to terms with the fact that God is a force which transcends the powers and abilities of man.
