She was his wife but she was not a prostitute. Please don't try and use 'scripture' to prove a point!! Your 'scripture' is well known to be anti-female. [ link to www.lisashea.com] The History of Mary Magdalene Mary Magdalene was NOT A PROSTITUTE. She was a wealthy, honorable, respected and loyal woman. The ONLY reason anybody thinks she was a prostitute was because of a speech by Pope Gregory the Great. In 591 AD he made a mistake in a sermon and confused Mary M with another Biblical character. That one mistake lasted for centuries. Finally, in 1969 the Vatican officially spread the word that Pope Gregory was simply wrong. No, Mary Magdalene was tearful and feeling like the worst of the worst simply because she was a down right seemingly wretched prostitute, who was trying to keep her brother and sister fed and clothed and housed. It was no sin but she thought it was a sin. And therefore she was forgiven the most by Jesus and then loved the MOST. if she was an honourable wealthy lady she would have loved little and been a goody two shoes, she was NOT. Sorry to devastate your illusions into reality. those that are forgiven little love little. How much are you forgiven ?
