Why Don't People Understand that Too Many Tattoos Make Them Look Trashy?

You missed out Merchant Sailors, native tribes people. If people want alot of tattoos they can have them even if they look trashy and aren't bothering you I wouldn't worry about it.

Everyone who opposes the filthy practice and look of tattoos should refuse service from any person with obvious tattoos, most particularly including waiters, waitresses, and medical personnel. People with tattoos are known to be less hygienic and proven to engage in more promiscuous behaviors; therefore, they potentially pose a risk to innocent customers and patients. There should be laws that prohibit businesses and medical facilities from employing anyone with tattoos.

wow....do you have any research/proof that people with tattoos are less hygienic and PROVEN to engage is bad behaviors? Seriously, show me proof.

And I find this comment highly offensive. I have one tattoo. I am married, a mother of three kids, I am a stay at home mom, take college classes online part time,(to be a medical assistant by the way) go to church, do volunteer work AT A HOSPITAL (and the patients seem to really like me) and have never gotten so much as a traffic violation my whole life. I'm not perfect, no, but I can guarantee you that there are plenty of people without tattoos who have gotten in a lot more trouble then me.

i hate people who put stupid tatts.Like the lips tattoo.If you ever go to state prison damn you finish and end up someones girl.Also if you disrespect a tattoo your most likely to get killed by the aryan brotherhood or mexican mafia.

People with tattoos are three times more likely to get hepatitis. It could be the tattoos themselves, or the lifestyle. Either way, it's HEPATITIS!

Look it up. I gather some have cleaned up their act. But again during these tough economic times, It wouldn't surprise me if some of them are still cutting corners.

You're right, some places are bad,and if someone is stupid enough to get a tattoo there, that is their problem but not all places are like that, so to generalize and say that all people with tattoos are not hygienic is not right. When I got mine done I made sure to watch the person take the new, clean needle out of the packaging, also watched them sanitize the whole area first...just gotta be smart about it.

I'm sure some people think that way but it had nothing to do with why I got mine.

When they took the needles out of the packaging, how can you be sure it is not a repackaged needles?

Autoclaving and watching the artist sit up his equipment is the thing to do. I worked as a nurse in an Hiv unit in a correctional facility. I know and did patient education every chance I got.

And yes I have and I'm clean, thanks =) My doc. does mandatory testing when you're pregnant, and I just had a baby back in January.

I will not date a female with a tattoo. A total turnoff.Tattoos have always been part of a subculture.

Autoclaving is not foolproof. It is an old method and some prions such as Madcow disease is not destroyed.
