That is not historically accurate. The Vast Majority of immigrants to the United States did not come to this country from England, Scotland and Ireland.

Ahh, went to ireland a few weeks ago, to BallyConnel, county Cavan. It was a great place. I loved it and felt more at home there then I do in the uk.

The people who live on the islands are descended from settlers brought in from England. It was felt that they could build a sheep farming industry on the larger islands. Over the years these people have married with others from nearby countries, so they are not purely English-Scottish looking any more.
