7 hours of SOHO data pulled today. Showed hints of a MASSIVE flare/cme

cme today? so when does that hit?

i knew something was up last night when i had headaches/felt like shit AGAIN

A cme or solar flare will take between 5-8 days to hit earth. It moves much slower than light. Depending on the blast speed. If it's big enough you could see a Aurora at the equator, given it is big enough. It's happened before... but it's rare there's enough energy to make it that far south. Usually the earths magnetic field pulls it north and south. Depending on the charge. Aurora is caused by energetic particles hitting the atmosphere and lighting it up!! I have only seen them in pictures. :-(
