With just a bit more cooperation from some friendly rain clouds, this could be North America's version of Fukashima. Crazy that this is already at Level 4 and virtually no MSM news coverage - remember when Fukashima was at 4 and it was global headline news? Hope everybody has their potassium iodate handy! Observe. Prepare. Survive. |

The reactor was shut down in April for refueling and has not restarted because of rising water along the Missouri River. Federal officials said temperatures in the pool never topped 83 degrees. “It was not even tepid bath water,” Brenner said. Nebraska state officials were notified, but the utility was able to control the fire before any significant state response was needed. [link to www.washingtonpost.com] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1174439we need to shut down all the nuclear facilities now. it is no longer a matter of 'if' but 'when' ....and the 20% of electricity generated by nuclear power in the united states is going to come from where? I don't disagree that nuke power needs to go... but losing 20% of the grid overnight is going to send the country into a damn riot because most of the public cannot cope with not being able to use their microwave to cook hot pockets or turn on their DVD player to watch Sex and the City. |

Pay it forward User ID: 1306680 United States 06/14/2011 11:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Has anyone else been getting the feeling that it might be best to NOT live in the good ol' USA soon? It makes me sad to think about moving away but I'm tired of seeing what's happening to this country. And no, I don't think taking to the streets or voting is going to make a damn bit of difference. My motto is: the only winning move is not to play the game. I listened to C2C and heard this guy Blake Sawyer on Survivalism who said (as are many others) they've moved their families down to So. America. It's been on my mind a lot lately. Your thoughts/suggestions? "In the first half, survival expert and health guru, Blake Sawyer, argued that the United States will no longer be a viable place to live, and people should consider immigrating to locations in the less populated Southern Hemisphere. Whether through war, disease, famine, natural disasters, or ruthless government, he predicted that 95% of those who remain in the US will be dead in the next 5-15 years. America has been targeted by the "globalists" to be taken out, he added. Sawyer noted that the United States ranks highest in violent crime, and that countries in the Southern Hemisphere are much more tranquil. In particular, he highlighted nations in the southern region of South America as being good choices for survivability, specifically Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, and Ecuador. "I...believe that the average American does not know that they're the frog in cold water, and they think they're OK, and they're now boiling," he declared." |
