This is the beginning of the end for US world dominance. If the world goes off the dollar standard, the standard of living in the US will come crashing down as our debts come due in *real money* not those Federal Reserve Notes that the Treasury prints up at will. Just as well, because if the world remains on the dollar the spendthrift idiots in Washington DC will bring the entire world economy down in short order. Just look at their latest lies, claiming to cut tens billions from the US government budget when the actual cut is less than half a billion. If we in the US want to remain the #1 economy we have got to get rid of this government that takes away all our rights and tries to be the candyman to the world on the back of the US economy, it is pulling us down like an anchor and 99% of our politicians are complicit in covering up both how bad it is, and how close to total failure. Worse, like crazy people, they continue to do the same things while anyone with half a brain can see the collapse looming large on the horizon!
