Individualism vs. Collectivism -- The future of humanity hangs in the balance
As individuals, our greatest fears are provoked by the apparent existential threat posed by TPTB and the movement of society towards collectivism.

Do we listen to what this enemy has to say? Or do we hold steadfast in our individualism, covering our eyes and plugging our ears, until our world goes down in flames? The end of the collective and the individual.

Does the collective listen to what the individual has to say? There is an asymmetry here because the collective is more less defined by the individuals who lead it. These individuals will never ever relinquish their individualism. That is a big problem.

There is truth in both individualism and collectivism insofar as they are both extreme reactions against existential threats. This must be confronted by all of us, regardless of what TPTB try to do. But is there a middle way? How can we balance these two forces?

Re: Individualism vs. Collectivism -- The future of humanity hangs in the balance
Individuals derive their rights from their CREATOR directly, not from
any governmental authority.

Respect for each individual AUTOMATICALLY guarantees the"middle-moderate"
path you seek.

Collectivism is a sham, a deception, and a ploy used by Machiavellian sociopathic manipulators to lure the weak -minded to think that that they will
receive "something for nothing".

There is no " something for nothing " in this world. Any honest person acknowledges that fact. Taking from one to give to another is THEFT, pure and simple!

The only moral, ethical, and proper "way" to manage is to acknowledge that
he who earns it, OWNS IT.

If you wish to encourage compassionate philanthropy to help ensure that those who are needy and dependent can enjoy greater security and prosperity, then
this is a worthy function of churches, missions, and non-profit institutions.

But COERCION via governmental edict is THEFT, which WRONG.
