Does anyone know if Dollar General drug tests?

I agree with "phuk u" if you cant help this person out then dont fuckin say anything. How would you feel If you really needed an answer to something and someone gave you a BS response how would you feel huh? "treat others how you want to be treated" If only the whole would follow by this it would be such a better place.

I want to make an app for android/iphone where people can list jobs in their area that piss tests and don't piss test, I think that would help out a lot. It's bullshit to get denied a job over smoking pot, even though someone can drink a whole bottle of alcohol (which could kill them and other people around them) and nobody's worried about that alcoholic that beat his wife and stabbed his kids to death..just saying, I wouldn't give that guy a job lmao.

I get here randomly, star reading out of curiosity. And I see a bunch ignorant folks talking sh*t and it does not seem to answer that one persons question. I am a manager of a business
and I realize who does what and who does not. Now that I think about it the ones that smoke pot seem to be the ones to be totally reliable. The sober ones and the ones that drink are such a slackers and the tend to call in so often. Enough that I have joke with my boss "do we need to hire a bunch of pot-heads in order to have someone reliable". So all of you that are so busy been an ignorant. Stop for a second and pay more attention to the world. Heck in many places also I've seen people with bad records such as child molester and drug deal, the have got the job instead of someone clean sober and with experience.

Well, I tell you this much. I smoke Marijuana to manage excruciating headaches that I've had since I was a little kid and if I have to quit smoking and endure random drug testing and the pain of those headaches, then I'm going to go for jobs that pay a hell of a lot more money than Dollar General! Corporations are shooting themselves in the foot with all this drug testing BS so they get what they deserve....Drug Free Undependable Slackers....Because nobody with any real experience or work record would ever want to work there unless they needed to self medicate. That's all I have to say on the subject.

There are two main ways that corporations do drug tests:

First, they will outsource to a company that will do the classic urine test. This is expensive for them to utilize but it is pretty reliable. I can't speak for all drugs but for weed you will need to have not smoked for 1-3 months, depending on how heavy a user you are. If you need to pass this sort of test, there are OTC drinks that block the results. It's been a few years but I paid about 40-50 dollars for mine and it worked on 2 different urine tests for 2 different jobs.

Second, alot of employers are turning to saliva tests. My last job used this method. Saliva tests are like a stick that you put in your mouth for 5 min. during your interview. They are pretty reliable and cheap, but, they have short term usefulness. You only need to quit smoking for a few days before the test.

Research is your friend. Look it up yourself and have the disciple to cut back accordingly. That is what employers are really looking for, the ability to manage your vices.

Well, I'm 45 years old. I own all of my property, house, vehicle everything. I've worked for years as management in manufacturing facilities. My last job closed and went to China. I was making about $60,000 yr and didn't have to worry about drug testing. I don't want to quit working, but I don't need to make a lot of money any more and I have found that Marijuana works better than any pharmaceutical drug that doctors have ever put me on with way less side effects and addictive qualities. I haven't smoked in 2 months now because I decided to look for a job, part time even. I have a very good work track record and I'm just looking for somewhere that I can have personal freedom to manage my body the way I see fit. Its funny how these Corporations don't want to hire someone who smokes pot but will hire someone who is taking much harder drugs like Xanax, Valium and other opiates that create much more problems in the concentration category as long as those drugs are legally prescribed. Doctors had me on that stuff and I told them I don't want it any more. It made me sick. This system makes no sense. It seems that its set up to do nothing more than to keep the profits in the pockets of big pharmaceutical companies. Corporations should judge an employee based on Job performance, not by what that employee chooses to do in the privacy of their own homes when they're not at work. I don't mind making minimum wage, but I see no point in working at a place that denies me of my personal freedom even though I would be a very big asset to the company that I'm working for. Times have changed since the last time I looked for a job about 20 years ago. If I have to permanently give that up, then I'm just going to go to work making the big bucks. But I would rather not give it up and continue the remainder of my life in a comfortable way that works for me. Know what I mean?

Your answer is not true, I have managed many CVS and I found that pot smokers were better employees then drinkers. I know the smokers wouldn't come in like the living dead ever satureday..

They DON'T drug test at all. My sister's brother works there and they smoke weed on the loading dock daily. There is a story about opening a box from China and finding "H" inside it- all the workers were nodding off at the till and drooling.
