Message Subject Vermont wants to shut down nuclear plant, NRC trying to prevent that from happening

Yeah, replace those megawatts by using cheap natural gas and low-sulfur coal. We have several hundred years worth inside the U.S. borders.

Oh, wait. We might have to dig into the earth in a few places, and both natural gas and coal produce that deadly, forbidden gas, CO2, that makes plants grow faster. On second thought, you're right, we need to stay with DNA-mutating, cancer-causing and life-ending radioactive isotopes that contaminate the earth for thousands to millions of years.

I shouldn't have been so hasty suggesting natural gas and coal; besides, I don't want GE Corp. and the utility cartel to suffer a financial loss from shutting down nuclear power. And where would we continue to get the uranium necessary to build more nuclear bombs if we don't keep those nuclear plants working full time?

Are you prepared for your electricity bill to double, triple, quadruple? Do you have a plan to replace those megawatts?

Great idea.....except the Obama corrupted EPA is forcing the coal plants out of business.....and pushing our taxes into the stratosphere.

New EPA regulations force five (COAL) power plants to shut down

"So, if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can — it’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted" - Obama 2007
