Disappearing insects?!?!?

Want some ants? How about some CHIGGERS??!?!

I was working in the yard last weekend and now have chigger bites all over my arm and on other places on my body. Nothing you can do, you basically have to ride out the 2-week cycle of misery until the chiggers die and the blisters heal.

Every one I know is dealing with armies of ants marching through their house.

I got yer disappearin' insects right here, pal.

Southern Maryland here, last year there were
Tons of dragonflies everywhere, this year,
Hardly any.
Just hope those Damned stink bugs don't come back

I have been talking about this to my wife this week, she thought i was nuts... we live in greenville south carolina, the bug capital of the world and there no bugs outside and i mean none,,, I spent two hours the other night looking for one bug and i couldnt find one, not even an ant.. what the hell is going on. at night I have a huge light on my porch which is normally coverd with millions of bugs at night. just last year their millions of them.. this year there is not even one bug, not a moth not a fly.. what the hell is going on. no spiders either..

Anybody who says that insects cannot dissapear completely is an ediot... yes they can and they are... Monsanto's genetically altered corn will kill any bug that eats it.. now think about this we are entering abnormal proteins as genetic cloning vectors into the earths food supply... this is an extinction level event.... wake up

All right here in Arkansas. Same bugs every year.

Snurbs, that is beautiful where are you located? Wow I miss them way too much, they are almost non-existent compared to last year here.

I have a bit of an overactive imagination, but those "insect" lights that are constant and hovering around the trees look like fairies to me! : )

Pittsburgh area. I've been mentioning this for about 10 years. It's like EVERYTHING is gone but the stinkbugs.

The biggest non-reported story in the world is the fact that there are hardly any Cockroaches in Hong Kong for the last year.

I come from the UK I have seen a vast decrease in the insect population over the last few years. Not just bees, if the the problem is virus or mites with bees then what is causing such a vast decline in all insects????
Is it climate, radiation increase with the ozone layer depletion or is there a man made poltion from the coctail of insecticides and fungisides being sprayed continualy with out proper controls to see the long term effect on all life in the food chain.???
