I made no reference to wild acts like mcveigh!! There are many acts that can down the system without anyone getting hurt. Think about what the other side needs and take that away. Numbers are a great thing, if you get millions of people not going to work and shutting everything down the powers will have control over nothing.

You can also-
#1- Not be in the area. Tear Gas is weak compared to CS, try that a few times, you won't make it to put it out.
#2- If in the area, wet t-shirts work well, and in a house, wet blankets or sheets (old-timer "Prisoner" fix to it).
#3- If in an area that you cannot reach said TG or CS, cover YOURSELF in wet blankets, or sheets. It will filter it out by trapping it, and allow extended "loiter" time, and allow only partially restricted movement (just like dressing up as a ghost on halloween, another "Prisoner" trick).
#4- Bandannas around your head, over your face, don't work. WET ones do.
#5- "MOST IMPORTANT NOTE"- CS and military-grade gassing is NOT fun, been there, done that. When faced with CS, you MUST remember that it STICKS, and penetrates ALL clothing, and has a stay time of up to ONE YEAR (it will burn you even then, and yes, it BURNS like nothing you can imagine).

If CS is being used, DIDI MAU from the area, DO NOT STAY.
This is not a game of "Capture the Flag", retreat, and remember that forces using "gas" can only carry so many canisters per man (two at most, I would imagine), so do counts as they are used. It is possible only CERTAIN soldiers/police will be issued them (of higher "rank"), thusly, cutting down on how many will be able to use them for crowd control.

CS will incapacitate you within 3-5 minutes, and kill you after that (if in an enclosed environment, with multiple cans of CS).

If hit with a nice, dense case of CS, you WILL-
Snot, vomit, cry uncontrollably, sweat like a pig, and feel the wrath of burning HELL if you breath it, and it will burn like hell anyway ON YOUR SKIN. You will also not be able to see for quite some time.

You have to have a group that hits the Lrad from the side or the back, takes control of it, then uses it against them.

A big part of a mistake the mobs make is to stand and take the gas, wrong. Try to outflank them, keep on the move so you aren't in the gas, try to surround them. Retread and spread out. OP that information may once have been correct, but technology continues to march forward, and surely if those grenades had those weaknesses, they have been hammered out of the newer designs. No doubt tear gas grenades would still work in a rainstorm these days.

Here we had hard times during 2001. My cousin (who was at plaza de mayo) told me that most people in the streets used to:

Used Their banner sticks to defend.
Carried a small backpack which included a mace, a chisel and a sligshot.
Also carried empty cans that put over the gas granades. that was increadibly practical.
