Nothing, thats the problem, when that happened he was barely mentioned, they gave the nine year old girl all the attention they didn't give giffords. You remember seeing her family all over the news but I don't recall even hearing the judges name.

I started a thread on this the day it happened. I've always believed the main target was Judge Roll.

It's starting to become clear.

Regarding Roll, anything new to add now? My old thread above links to some interesting cases that he was involved in, providing some motives. That whole incident and how it was covered was very strange to say the least. I don't have TV, but I had the idea (as mentioned) that Roll got very little coverage.

I've just started going through his cases but a couple stand out. Primarily his ruling against current administrations proposed austerity measures. Secondly his opinions of illegal immigrants. This could take a while to dig through. Do you know the name of the judge who replaced him? I'm willing to bet there is a 180 in their beliefs.

As of June 2nd it appears no nominations have come forth, so the seat is still vacant.

How strange. They claimed that the courts were already well backed up and needed help before he was killed.

Not too long ago the new head of ( now I’ve forgotten- some Federal Judicial or Attorneys Council ) was appointed. His distinction from former heads is he is a former JAG. Judge Advocate General. First and possibly only person in that Council system versed in Military Law - Courts Martial.

Students of Law History know the U.S. has been under a Military Rule system since the War Between the States. Many Pro Se litigants are pushing this point. A little benign neglect in keeping the Fed court system running would provide more excuse to bring open Martial Law into play.
