Soooooo. If I were by chance to give YOU around $5MIL. What exactly would YOU do with it?

PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU TO HELP ME.I HAVE HAD TO HAUL WATER FOR 10 YEARS NOW.I AM ON DISABILITY BECAUSE I HAD MAJOR BACK SURGERY.NOBODY REALLY CARES ANYWAY.IF YOU CAN'T HELP ME SO BE IT, BUT HELP SOMEONE. WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOU REALLY HELPED SOMEONE WHO REALLY NEEDED IT.

So lets just "Say" I have an extra $5Mil to give away,
And lets just "Say" I was thinking about giving it to someone. Not some BS Charity but to someone that could REALLY REALLY USE IT.
And lets just "Say" that you would end up getting it in the next 24 hours.
What exactly would you do with a sudden 5MIL in your lap?

During the time I have been apart of this thread, this is the only thread I've posted on, and someone on here was kind enough to upgrade my account for 1 month.. I know it had to be someone in here.. So I wanna say Thank You again , in case you missed it ..

It is sad that so many of us on here are genuinely struggling to put food on the table and pay bills..

I honestly wouldn't know what it would be like to have a couple thousand dollars in my pocket.. Let alone millions

The only time I have ever had close to that much , was when the utility company had a huge surge go through the power lines, and affected everyone on our block. It damaged my computer and tv at the time, and I think I got around $1500 at the time after the deductible from my parent's insurance..

I am very lucky I have parents who give a damn. If it weren't for them , I would be living in a cardboard box in an alley somewhere.. They have a small storage building next to their house, that they let me turn into living quarters .. I help take care of them, and I pay my parents $75 per week partially for rent as well as to help out on the utilities I use and I pay half on the internet and phone bill... Another $50 ..

So I have $125 in bills going out weekly, and only make between $150 and $200 ..

Then by the time I keep gas in my truck, and buy what little food I can afford , I am left with maybe $5 in my pocket..

I have been trying to get out on my own again for a long time now, but at my current job I bring home after taxes, anywhere from $150 to $200 /wk depending on if I get 25 hrs or if I get 35 hrs . Most of these places only want part timers, so they can get out of having to give full-time benefits... They would rather have everyone be part time to save them money .. or so it seems..

So as you can see,for me there is no possible way to get ahead.. I am literally stuck .. I make it a point to fill out employment applications online daily.. But nowhere seems to be hiring.. I would do ANY job, I don't care what it is; whether it is shoveling crap, wiping butts in a nursing home, flipping whoppers... you name it, if it's a legal and legitimate job , I would do it ..

I just don't know what to do... What can one do, when the effort is put out every single day to gain better employment and get ahead? yet nothing.. The only way I have extra money in my pocket is if I donate plasma twice weekly.. which I only get $55 weekly from that..

My dream is to be out on my own, and have a home I could actually call my own..Even renting a place.. and to somewhat have a life.. To find myself a girlfriend , one day get married and have children..

But at 36 years old, I just feel I am getting older and older, poorer, and that I will never have a home and a family.. It really is depressing as hell... I don't want to get old and die alone.... and in some poorhouse... I'd like to find myself a woman before I am too old to attract one..

As it stands now, I mean who is going to want to get with a guy with a crappy job, and nothing to offer them?

If something drastic doesn't happen in my life soon, I fear my life will have been wasted.. I just wish I could find a good job or 2 and be able to have some semblance of a life...

That's why it makes me so sick to see a few of the responses here, when there are people in here who genuinely
NEED help.. Not to waste on crap, but to be able to at least live and take care of themselves/family..

I pray that those of you who are going through rough times, have some good luck come your way .. I know I sure could use it ..

Hey Greg - I'm sorry you're finding it challengin - sounds like you're stuck in a loop of need a job to fund the things you want.

You are centering your existence on a job - i KNOW money does help us forward in some ways but as you live with your folks and arecontributing towards bills...why not think of another way to live rather than the 'standard' set by society?

As you are in that mindset so heavily that a job = good life you will probably wonder what the hell i am talking about! But be patient - expand your desires some more - you want your own place - so that could be a place you build from materials which cost nothing or next to nothing (heard of 'earthships' - well worth a google) Know anyone who has loads of land? Place an advert to form a venture to build such a place...which you volunteer to steer and run to educate others?
Grow/farm your own food on that land...once set-up.

There ARE ways to get the things you wish for without going th conventional route of needing huge sums of money. For instance - during such a venture to get involved in some kind of 'eco village' as a volunteer...you may meet the girl of your dreams...she may already have a place...you never know what paths open up once you make just one step.

Being at your parents convinced the ONLY way forward is to earn earn and earn - well in this climate of very few jobs being offered...i can see you sitting there a long time unless you open your parameters of possibilities.

If not, fair enough but i think my advice still stands that thinking 'wider' will help opportunities come into your life.
