You're dumb, nobody in wrestling uses "packets of red food coloring." Just goes to show how incredibly little you actually know on the subject. They get blood usually by cutting themselves with a tiny shard of razor blade, on the forehead, preferably on a vein, then they huff and puff so their face gets red and more blood pours out of what is actually a tiny cut that doesn't even need a single stitch. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 2109324 10/12/2011 11:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Actually, I'm a wrestling fan. I'm quite literate as well. I think the OP is jumping to conclusions. There are many intelligent folks who are wrestling fans. Most of them enjoy wrestling because they watched it in their youth. There's a reason why the WWE calls it "entertainment" and not "wrestling" these days. Most of the dedicated fans know the outcomes of matches and sotrylines are pre-determined. The wrestlers are athletes though. It takes years of training and paying your dues before a wrestler can work at the professional level. I have friends who were wrestlers, and believe me, it's not as easy as you think. It takes a specialized set of skills to do what they do, several times a week, and not get killed (or kill their opponent). In fact, wrestlers get seriously injured or killed quite a bit. In fact, WWE superstar Edge recently had to retire in his prime; all the years of abusing his body has taken it's toll, and any further work in the ring could result in permanent paralysis for him due to a string of serious neck injuries. Most of the time, when a wrestler leaves for a few months in storyline, it's because their getting surgery to fix an injury that was left untreated. most of the time, the pros can't take time off work; they have to work, injured, because the show must go on. They only treat it when it becomes too big an issue and can no longer be ignored. Terry funk wrestled with NO CARTILAGE IN HIS KNEES!!! For all purposes, he had no knees to speak of, but he still wrestled! Fake my ass. They're more real that the OP. Most wrestling fans know the deal, and have enough respect for their craft to play along, after all, audience participation is a mainstay of pro-wrestling. If anybody is fooled by the BS side of wrestling, it's the OP. Those are my thoughts on the subject, and I'm sticking to them. Those with a low opinion of wrestling fans ought to rethink their position, and maybe actually go to a pro-wrestling show, live and in person, and talk to some folks there before making assumptions about them all. |

Right ! As a kid I watched SOME Gorgeous George as TV was a new thing and he was so different from what I was taught is proper behavior for adults. I thought he was a LOVABLE CLOWN. When I left home I didnt watch much TV and certainly not wrestling as every one knew it was all set up. A few mos ago I saw some of WWE on Monday night when NCIS reurns were over. OH yeah I watch NCIS reruns! Once I saw some of the stars of WWE I liked it a lot. the creativity of those guys is great to see and they do it within the tough guy template. Love it! Now ThreeH is COO he is a great actor and often sooo predictable. This week I knew John Cena would come to the rescue and it was an education in verbal gymnastics to hear him stick up for ThreeH and maintain his independence and maintain his poker face with that subtle grin. He is so tuned into his BRAND ! I have become a huge John Cena FAN at 75 years of age. NO interest in those guys sexually, I am more the Sean Connery type, but I love the fake drama and how some struggle to keep a straight face. Dont miss TripleH when he is making his "eat you raw and spit out your bones" face in somesone elses face and fights to keep from laughing. These are guys who have NO outlet for all that talent in the elitist world of fame and fortune so are doing their own thang in their own world exploiting their own talents and many MANY people love it all and are drawn to those ones that resemble the hero they wish they COULD be. Lotta comic book basis in all that and HEALTHY FUN. cmpunk is a real treat as the resident whore. it cant be easy for the writers to keep new crises to work thru every week given the context within which they have to write their even new ideas. its all sooo funny . . |
