@cp, shut the fuck up,
your posting is again the perfect example to derail virtually
every Fukushima thread, this is typical for a real Shill,

ermm... i won't here. are the examples., i spoke about you confused man... let me speak to audience.

1. you were pro-nuclear to start with
2. you were pro-fix for the situation
3. you applauded the cold shut down
4. you jump threads on an AC account and refute anything anti-gobbernment and anti-"clean-up" policy"
5. you chop and change your opinion based on your audience
6. yet to say (and i appologise if i get this one wrong), as to your standpoint
7. have an intersting way of using coliqiuolisms based on the audience, or poster that you respond to, which makes me ponder as to your real nationality
8. spoken to the point that
8.1 you are not japanese (but were)
8.2 you left japan (at the point of danger)
8.3 returned after the fact

9. non of the above makes sense as purported by you
10. i have followed your threads, as i follow the fukushima disaster, as i do many others. i am unsure as to the sincerity of your threading apart from your asumed popularity..... sry....

if you would like, i can repost all of your threads and posts to indemnify my argument.... again i was prepared to throw down the sword.. but you irritated the argument...

drunk you are?
to suggest something of someone you do not know, nor are anywhere near about, is rather incredulous....
you are also stealing a thread that you have nothing to offer to. whilst i and atom-boy do not agree at levels... he is not stealing my threads, nor am i his... we debate... so go and pull that finger out of your ass.. and stop trolling me.. it is one thing to troll my threads... leave atom-boy to his own, we have agreed to disagree, but share the same warnings and messages... you AC, are a continual wanker, and as seen transparently as such....

I would rather argue about important things with atom than an idiot like you.... i will now have his back... dickwad.... thanks....

@ Cp,

your last few Posts are, again, a perfect example for your
high interest to derail literally every Fukushima Thread
that do not serve your own bloody interests!

You using types of "Godwin's Law" to do so,
i asked you for many times to stay out of my Threads
as long as i and others can't post in your own Threads,
this sound strange but we need to dig much deeper
into the Rabbit Hole than you are ever able to look!

Your behavior is like a 3-7 year old Child
who create a catastrophic Christmas for everyone
because Mother have no time to play with you!
Stop this childish jealousy!

I am not pro Nuclear,
and your whole listing do not serve his purpose.

Please refrain from answering!

I am sorry but i can't delete or ban you from this Thread,
my Account is just a normal one and do not hold this high Benefit-Option for us, People warned me already in the beginning about this, but great- finally you are able to cooperate!

bye

and back to the topic! rockon

This was the Entry Posting,
what is wrong with my Statement!

TOKYO: The Japanese government on Friday declared reactors at the tsunami-stricken Fukushima nuclear plant
to be in a state of cold shutdown, media reports said.

Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda told a nuclear taskforce meeting that the crippled Fukushima reactors
"have reached a state of cold shutdown to the point where the accident is now under control", Jiji Press reported.

[link to www.channelnewsasia.com]

Maybe they have now enough time to focus on the real damage
they have done!

There are still to many questions unanswered!

Still close to 100.000 People are living far away from home,
old People bereaved from their old Houses and Friends.

We still have huge amounts of polluted soil and rubble.

I doubt that the Japanese Government get a chance
to restart our Nuclear Plants, even with this
"not even half real" Shutdown,
they used Tepconican and Orwellian Language here!

What is a real Shut down?

I found this Video
and we can see what is waiting for us in F'Shima!

This is from a Pro-Nuke Side, i am not but i like
to use their Info!

Three Miles Island Clean Up!
The effort to remove the damaged fuel from the TMI Unit 2 nuclear plant required a great deal of creativity in tool making along with some skillful manipulation of devices at the end of 30 foot long handles. This highlight video is extremely instructive and shows what the people assigned to the task of cleaning up at Fukushima might face. It offers a lot of hope as well - since the effort was a big success.

Re: Thread to discuss CURRENT events at Fukushima Nr. 2
Hello guys, Ive been lurking on this and the other threads about fukushima since the start.

Ive read all the "shill" posts, ive read all the bantering between posters, etc etc.

Ive grown as tired of the subject as you all.

Coming here today and reading the last page, which is what I do to catch up, it is clear that some of you are starting to suffer from "fukushima fatigue"

I myself last night was dreaming about "CHIBA" someplace in Japan, and things were getting pretty rough. A huge earthquake happened in my dream and many many people buried, oh and neil young was playing his guitar as the moon began crashing into the earth!!!@!!!

So, yeah after all this time, its firmly in my dreams. Im getting tired.

I am no longer supprised anymore, to read the latest news, which seems to be slowly but SURELY being told in more and more openess.

I think that the Japanese government has decided that people are "ready" to really hear whats going on. So more and more will come out now.For instance the relavation that 5 workers died onsite in the first couple of days!!!

It took all this time to say this? Why on earth all this time?? I am quite sure that hundreds have died, or are going to from exposure allready recieved.

The reality of fukushima is so huge its almost unspeakable. The number of cancer deaths and instances will climb higher and higher from now on.

So to will the sudden deaths from heart attacks.

Before it was hair falling out, (which alone is crazy) then came the fingernails, now its teeth. Fuck!

Something like 4 out of EVERY 6 field mice are deformed!!

Then there is the mutated plants and vegetables. etc etc etc etc!!!!!!!

It is now beyond plain to see how bad things are. The entire area known as "fukushima" is uninhabitable. Period.

And a much greater area again is contaminated to the extent that no smart person with the ability to leave, should stay. Companies are now starting the transition of moving there base to other countries. Products are being removed from shelves.

All this since march!!! and we still dont really know whats going on at "daiini" nor the extent of damage at reactors 5+6 at fuku, nor the long term prognosis of reactor 4 spent fuel pool!!!

FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!!!

We dont have to be cursing each other online when the real world is dying around us.

My Mother had a cancerous tumour removed from her body two days ago, now they are talking "chemo" and my father is convinced that the situation for our mother is very, very bad.

I now know what this feels like.

I keep crying every few hours every time I think of my mother.

I can now know what its going to be like for millions of parents giving birth to dead babies in Japan.

And all the parents of babies born with defomaties, and brain damage.

And all the children who's parentrs will die leaving them behind.

The reality is very very sobering.

Citizenperth/atomboy et al please refrain from abusing each other, 'cause it really is childish. Now is the time for common sence and maturity.

@Poster above,

i like your Posting because it is in a way very honest
but you also reach a highly dangerous Point,
you call it "Fukushima Fatigue",
this happen only when you are not able to locate
the next Sunrise,
people will lose hope when they read only bad News,
and many News in the so called "alternative Media"
focusing only on bad News!

But there is still hope and we here in Japan and everywhere
else will never give up this hope, we will go on
and do what ever is needed to finish this Disaster!!!

In my Opinion the damage is much smaller than many People think, many see only Death, Cancer and Suffering
but this is never ever all and everything!

The contamination from Cesium will vanish very quick,
in 3-5 Generations we will already reach a point
where the decreasing Level is unstoppable
(no other word for this)

The Area with Plutonium and other heavy Nuclear Particles is small
and can be cleaned, the Stuff stored in a Safe-Cask!

And the Sea will recover too,
maybe this Off-Time even help the Fish Population!

I am only skeptical about our Ionosphere
because we do not know what is happen there
but any/ or everything else is not the end for Fukushima,
for Japan and not for us- the Human-Kind!

PS; you wrote "Before it was hair falling out, (which alone is crazy) then came the fingernails, now its teeth. Fuck!"

This Women is afaik debunked or do not want help at all!

Re: Thread to discuss CURRENT events at Fukushima Nr. 2
In areas in the Ukraine, the cesium levels have increased rather than decreased. They dont know why but the "half/life" seems to be more then thought.

Its not hard to look up some statistics about the effects of chernobyl on health and cancer rates, especially the effects on children. Leaukemia (acute) is awfully high, in the Ukraine today, after all this time.

What I was trying to get across, but failed, was that the sheer amount of nuclear fuel that has been disspersed to the enviroment ALLREADY is just enormous. It defies belief that people havebt come to terms with or can see that.

The future effects of all this radiation, will be VERY visible in the next "couple" of years.

There is no doubt, no question at all, that evacuations will extend many MANY kilometres out of fukushima.

Thats the trouble with radiation. It takes time, and an accumalation of particles to cause cancer.

Depending on "what" you have recieved and in what quantities, varies as to how quick you develop cancers.

They are allready reporting multibles of different types of cancers within the one patient, many times over.
Because this is happening so quickly, instead of next year or the year after that, says very clearly that the rate of absorbtion of radioactive particles is extremely high.

Plutonium is another kettle of fish alltogeather. Plutonium is "one" of the most deadly substances known to man, many many times more "poisoness" than "plain old" uranium, (uraniums half life is measured in millions of years)

Number 3 I think was the "mox" fuelled reactor that blew sky high. Its entire inventory of plutonium/uranium mix was turned instantly to tiny tiny little particles. And disspersed high in the sky, these little babies have coated entire forests and the landscape at large. It is hard for me to put this in any other words.

The culmative affect of all this disspersion, is that huge areas of land are now PERMANANTLY contaminated. Every time a single molecule of water is drawn up out of the ground, it will carry any number of radioactive particles with it, and then wherever the wind blows.

It is easy to "smile" and blissfully be unaware. And I certainly dont want anybody to think that I think less of you for it. It is hard to bury ones head in the soil.

The mutations and dying off of plants and trees in Japan is really only the "start" of what is to come.

There is no such thing as "decontamination" of radionuclides from such a vast area of land. It is simply impossible. Back in world war two (and Im sorry to use this analogy, please forgive me) Your head of government at the time new that war against America was futile. But he was pressured into attacking by heads of industry. He was quoted at the time as saying that Japan would "run wild" for six to twevle months, after that, nobody knew.

I cant remember if it was "Yamamoto" or whoever, the point is that so called "decontamination" in the style your government seems to be attempting is the same as going to war against something that cannot be beaten. All they will end up with is a lot of dead "de-contaminators"

When we turn on a light switch and the light comes on from the electricity, we "see" the electricity in the form of light.radiation is not entirely invisible. With the correct equipment it can be "seen" using special aparatus.

Where scientists have "looked" in japan so far, hundreds and hundreds of square kilometers are "glowing" or "twinkling" there is really that much "damage" out there.
To even think of "cleaning this mess up" is quite frankly absurd. Its like saying your going to capture all the air, or you are going to dig up all the ground.

When they show you pressure cleaning of roadside curbing to "decontaminate" remember this, a radioactive particle is so small that they dont just blow in the air and gently land on the curb, but rather they will land INSIDE the curb! the only way to "clean" is to remove! So what are they going to do? are they going to dig up the entire nation of Japan and deposit it in the ocean? of course not.

We are talking here of huge concepts, because thats what they are. Massive, absolutely massive damage has allready been inflicted on Japan, and continues to today.

When they talk of trillions of bequerals, remember that we number 7 billion, one trillion radioactive isotopes spread out over one billion is really like saying you just killed everyone in the world several times over.

The number of radioactive isotopes being produced EVERY HOUR SINCE MARCH 11 is astronomical.

We can "smile" and pretend everything is going to be ok, I can smile and pretend my mother does not have cancer, its not really going to help though is it?

I undertsand your wish that in a few years everything will be back to normal. And can identify with the feelings of doom and gloom, and also the need to keep up a "stiff upper lip"

At the end of the day, reality allways wins out. And the reality in Japan is so bad, so unspeakably bad that your own government is doing all it can to not say anything.
This much should tell you.
At the end of the war for Berlin, the german government was telling the people that the enemy was on the run, even while the soviets were fighting street to street!
Its what a govenrment does when it doesnt know what to do. they lie. They say anything they can to hold off the awfull truth that they have "failed"
Just as the italian captain, who climbing into the liferaft, was living at that moment in denial.

Please understand I dont wish to cause you any anxiety or worry or fear.

the isotopes they allude to are of many that exist... so they can live very short lives... or many millions of years, even in the case of cecium...TEPCO have only monitored the short lived ones for obvious reasons...

Ok, So the fact that the spent fuel pool in number three is apparently gone, also tells us that something like forty years of spent fuel rods are now spread out over the Japanese landscape. And this is plutonium, as well as uranium.

And the fact that everywhere you go in fukushima the geiger counters are telling you to get out?

There are too many "facts" which stand out and seem to scream at me.

There is also the matter of the number 4 spent fuel pool.

I read recently that the word "spent" is a bit of a nice way of saying "unstable" !!!!!

This is because over time and continued use the zirconium cladding on the rods become "opaque" so that neautrons cant freely pass through them, this means that they become difficult to control. When they are placed (for years) in the "spent" fuel pool, they are extremely dangerously "hot" and must be handled with kid gloves.

The spent fuel pools were NEVER designed to accomadate thousands of rods, let alone 30 to 40 years worth.

They have found that the spent fuel pools over time build up a measure of "curium" which just so happens to be millions of times more deadly then even plutonium.

The number three spent fuel pool is now non existant. It was blown sky high, this is a fact.

There are quite a few posters here who seem to think that this is all doom and gloom (which it is) and that its all a load of bunk (which it isnt)

The simple facts seem hard for people to pick up.

The basic, though at times complex, issues of nuclear energy production are easy to understand, we heat water into steam, and that drives the turbines. Easy?

The bit that seems to escape people, is what happens when a nuclear facility explodes.

The seemingly quiet calm and peacefull nature of the aftermath of the exploded buildings, belies the microscopic and incredibly deadly undertones of nuclear action.

We cant see whats going on inside, we cant see the radiation, this does not mean its not there. People who think this is all going away some time soon, should really go back to school and this time, listen.

The earth is billions of years old.

Is this fact hard to understand?

Radiation is deadly.

this fact seems to immiediatly send some people mad and into denial.

Thats ok.

whats happening is happening, regardless.

I wish all of you well in japan, and hope you can escape, the country I mean. Australias pretty empty. For now!

It is a little bit difficult to explain everything
again and again (my opinion what has happen there)

My Opinion is that none of the Cores is gone,
they are still inside the Primary Containment Vessel,
the Explosion you saw and the stuff that blow up
was the Hat/ Cap of the PCV but not the Vessel itself!

The SFP and how much Stuff was in there (Nr.3) is
still a miracle like the whole Explosion!

Nr. 4 SFP is okay, there was a confusion in the beginning
of the crisis but the damage is much smaller than we thought
in the first Week!

You are right that this SFP was never designed to hold
all this nasty Stuff but our Society was so hungry
and believed everything what Tepco and Friends told them,
so they agree to use Fuel without providing a working concept
for the Recycling!

At the moment the are removing the contaminated Debris
(according to their Reports and Roadmap)
And soon start to remove the Fuel!

SFP Nr. 4 is my and our biggest concern
and always when we have a Tremor i hope it is just here
and not in F`Shima!

Ah, and yes Radiation is deadly
but also helpful,
to use it to boil Water is insane,
the use in our Medicine is live saving!

For now!

What we saw at the Explosion from Nr. 3 was not the Core itself!

When Nr. 3 Core explode you will be not able to work in that areas until the end of our days!

Something like this happened in Chernobyl
but not here!

Until now none of the Cores explode
and i hope we will never see something like this here
in Japan or anywhere else,
this is the main reason why we need to shut down
Nuclear Energy!

 Quoting: Atom-Boy

lets agree to dissagree on some things, thats ok, Im sure your thinking the same as me, though this "roadmap" baloney is just that.

They wont be removing the fuel anytime soon. And I really do mean a long LONG time!

Its just too "hot" meaning the radiation is too much, also they simply CANNOT take the fuel rods out of water, if they do for ANY lenght of time they will combust.

Zirconium reacts with air (oxygen) by setting fire to itself, it just seems to hate air lol.

This of course complicates the small teeny matter of removing them from a hundred feet in the air, amongst debris, in an exploded building that no one can get near!

Bit of a problem!

The "roadmap" crap is just the government bying time and placating the masses.

Number three spent fuel pool is non existant. End of story.

have a look around there is lots of hd photos out there now which clearly show the damage to number three.

another point I think you are really missing here is that it doesnt matter anymore that three reactors have melted down, what is important to know here is that the spent fuel pools are the danger. There is more highly unstable dangerously "hot" fuel present in the number 4 sfp then ALL the reactors put together.

The number 4 sfp is located very high up in the building, which is now leaning over.

The danger that all this may collapse is present and very real. Science (mankind) has not the know how, nor the technology to deal with a situation such as this. If, and again it is not really a if but a when, this does happen, we are talking upwards of a thousand tonnes of highly enriched (well used, super hot, and uncontrollable) nuclear fuel melting in the daylight sun. Not contained, nor containable.

Have you heard much about reactors 5+6 lately??? are they still saying that they are in "cold shutdown conditions"????

Guess why they are saying that?

Where are the fukushima fifty??

What happened to HUNDREDS of workers?? where are they??

This "roadmap" crap really is political speak to silence real questions.

Ask yourself this, If they dont have a device opperable to measure anything, like temperature etc, How then can they say what the temperature is? Would you fly on a plane piloted by someone who didnt have any instruments and was basing there flightplan on a "roadmap"?????

This is what is happening, TEPCO is saying one thing when even WE know that it cannot be true??? Why has it taken all this time to go in with the endoscope, only to turn straight around and say they pop in for another look in oooh FIVE YEARS TIME????????

I have said before, and I realise you are trying to keep your head up, the situation is far worse then they want you to know.

Heres a golden rule for you to remember: expect the best, plan for the worst.

@citizenperth, keep on talking to atomboy buddy and do your best to ignore that other fucker, hes baiting you and you are letting him, just simply dont answer his posts he is a prick after all, the most he deserves is to be ignored.

All the best everyone, and good luck, we are all going to need it

agreed... i think between me and atom we got a little heated... it is a serious debate after all... i think some things were indeed lost in translation... we all... after all.. seeking the same fix to a dire situation...

thanks for your thoughts... indeed the AC poster is in "divide and conquer" mode and i sheepishly fell into the trap for a while....

@atom... i think we need to bury the swords and look for a more concerted co-operation as to information ;)
