for anyone interested in the 'report'.. take a look at the current mainainance of Fuku via TEPCO report.......

[link to www.tepco.co.jp]

This assumes the whole system is 'looped', flawless, and perfectly contained.......

"Press Release (Nov 21,2012)
Situation of storing and treatment of accumulated water including highly concentrated radioactive materials at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (74th Release)

On June 9, 2011, we received an instruction document*, "Installment of treatment facility and storing facility of water including highly concentrated radioactive materials at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Instruction)" from Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA) of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

(Previously announced on June 9, 2011)

Since then, per the instruction, we have been treating the water accumulated in the Central Radioactive Waste Treatment Facility that contains highly concentrated radioactive materials. We announce today we submitted a report to the Nuclear Regulation Authority regarding the latest updates of storage and treatment of the accumulated water. "

Signs in N.Korea for another missile launch

North Korea has transferred what are believed to be ballistic missile parts to a launch site in the country's northwestern region.

Diplomatic sources in Seoul say US satellite photos confirmed the parts had been transferred recently to the Tongchang-ri site. The move has alarmed South Korea and other nations which are keeping close watch.

Observers regard the move as a possible sign that the North is preparing to launch another long-range missile.

Dog named "miracle" lives on after worst of Fukushima disaster

An old gaunt dog was spotted at a barn in a town in Fukushima Prefecture last August, apparently feeding off the carcasses of cattle left dead in the aftermath of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster.

Naoto Matsumura, who had seen the miserable canine before, thought it a miracle that the dog had managed to survive in Tomioka, a town that was designated as part of the 20-kilometer exclusion zone set up around the crippled power plant in the wake of the disaster.

TOKYO — Fukushima Gov Yuuhei Sato visited supermarkets in Tokyo on Friday and Saturday in an attempt to convince shoppers that rice grown in his prefecture is safe. The tour comes in the same month that rice production in the area restarts fully for the first time since the tsunami and ensuing nuclear disaster of 2011.

Finland’s TVO Eyes Boost in Olkiluoto Nuclear Reactor Output

Teollisuuden Voima Oyj, Finland’s biggest nuclear operator, is planning to increase output from its 1,760-megawatt Olkiluoto reactors in 2017, bolstering Finland’s energy independence.
“We may decide to boost capacity from the two 880-megawatt units in 2017, adding significantly to net electricity output,” spokesman Lauri Inna said today by phone from the reactor site, without elaborating how much capacity will rise.
[link to www.bloomberg.com]

Old reactors, OL1 built 1974 and OL2 1975... output already boosted a couple of times, where's the limit before something goes wrong?

I think today is the day that I go out to Ft.Calhoun with my geiger counter. I won't get any readings because I bought it from radiation network....the inspector will inspect anyway. Omaha is spiking every 3 days and I have thought that it vents every 3 days. I will take a video to share with the group. :)

my Grandmother...

Tamako Kubota passed away yesterday...

She was 99 years of age.

She had Cancer twice.

She was the last survivor of her group of care givers from Hiroshima...
A last witness...

Low Level Radiation kills over many years.
All her friends were dead from cancer by 1986. All of them.

Thanks for all the hard work people have done to keep these memories alive. And the current work on the nightmare to come... its the years to come that will show the true cost...
