Plan To Store High-Level Nuclear Waste In Utah No Longer Happening [ link to www.kutv.com] [snip] Polls showed more than 80 percent of Utahns opposed the project. Former Governor Jon Huntsman also opposed the plan and so did all of Utah’s congressional delegation. Utah does not produce any high-level nuclear waste, and many Utahns believe they shouldn't be forced to take other people's waste.
