So...

Mainichi and TEPCO and Atom-Twat are not all in bed together?

[snip]

Masao Yoshida (age 58), who was the plant manager at Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant, died in the morning of July 9. Sources at TEPCO revealed the news to Mainichi. While he was the plant manager in March 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear accident happened. He led the accident response at the plant. He left the post in December 2011. He underwent an emergency surgery in July 2012 for cerebral hemorrhage.

Embankment reinforced at Fukushima Daiichi plant

The operator of the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is trying to prevent contaminated groundwater from seeping out to sea by reinforcing embankments on the coastal side of the plant.

Tokyo Electric Power Company began work on Monday on a 90 meter-long embankment.

Workers using heavy machinery drilled 14-meter-deep holes at 80-centimeter intervals along the embankment, and then poured in chemicals to harden and waterproof the soil.

Nuclear regulator to start processing applications

Japan's nuclear regulator will set up teams next week to process applications filed by power utilities to restart their nuclear reactors.

4 utilities submitted their applications on Monday to restart 10 reactors at 5 plants.

The 5 include the Tomari plant run by Hokkaido Electric Power Company, the Ohi and Takahama plants operated by Kansai Electric. The others are Shikoku Electric's Ikata plant and Kyushu Electric's Sendai plant.

Fukushima radioactive groundwater readings rocket

TOKYO (AFP) — Toxic radioactive substances in groundwater at Japan’s crippled Fukushima nuclear plant have rocketed over the past three days, its operator said, admitting it did not know where the leak was coming from.

Samples taken on Monday showed levels of possibly cancer-causing caesium-134 were more than 90 times higher than they were on Friday, at 9,000 becquerels per litre, Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) revealed.

Levels of caesium-137 stood at 18,000 becquerels per litre, 86 times higher than at the end of last week, the utility said.

My PHd came through on Health-Education! It was awarded last year, but it was published under non-disclosure.. in a month or two i can publish what I have.. Atom- Boy has 2 chapters ;), as do his friends... few and far between.. a major win so far as green peace and others are about to report upon ;).. we have a documentary in 4 languages.... i could say anything until i was sure.. but 98% sure... drinks my friends! patience is the epiphany....

Expert: TEPCO must stop groundwater leaks

A Japanese researcher says the operator of the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant must step up measures and monitoring to stop radiation-tainted groundwater from seeping into the sea.

The operator of the plant has said radioactive cesium levels at one observation well near the sea soared over the past several days.

Groundwater expert Atsunao Marui of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology made the comment after levels of radioactive substances surged over a 4 day period at one of the plant's observation wells.

Tokyo Electric Power Company said on Tuesday that levels of cesium 137 had risen to 22,000 becquerels per liter of water, or more than 100 times the level logged last Friday. It also reported on Monday that radioactive cesium levels soared 90 times from last Friday.

NRA panel to study ways to prevent leaks into sea

Japan's Nuclear Regulation Authority has decided to form a working group to study ways to keep highly tainted water from the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant from seeping into the sea.

NRA officials met on Wednesday. They said contaminated water is very likely leaking into the sea. A panel including experts is to look into the problem.

The decision followed findings of soaring radioactive cesium levels in observation wells at the plant.

Japan may restart reactors in a year

TOKYO — Japan may restart several reactors shut down by the Fukushima nuclear crisis in about a year, a senior regulator said in an interview on Tuesday, a day after new safety rules went into effect designed to avoid a repeart of the disaster.

Japan is forging ahead with attempts to restart idled reactors in the face of a sceptical public, after Fukushima highlighted weak oversight of the industry.

Nuclear watchdog says radioactive water from Fukushima plant contaminating sea

The Nuclear Regulation Authority revealed on Wednesday that water contaminated with radioactive materials is suspected to have already reached the Pacific Ocean. At the meeting of Japan’s nuclear watchdog commissioners, NRA Chairman Shunichi Tanaka pointed out the need to find the source of the contamination and stop further leak into the seas.

Just a day after the news of the death of Fukushima Daiichi’s former GM Masao Yoshida, who was credited for his priceless and fearless move at the height of the Fukushima meltdown to prevent further catastrophe, the power plant is now facing reprimand from the NRA for its failure to find the cause of the leak. “It is strongly suspected that highly concentrated contaminated waste water has leaked to the ground and has spread to the sea,” said Tanaka. The NRA chief emphasized on Wednesday the need to find the cause of contamination and “put the highest priority on implementing countermeasures.”

Dis-information of Abe campaign trail.... Fukushima rice keeps me going!

Why’s Prime Minister Abe so healthy? It’s all the food from Fukushima!
13 hours ago by Preston Phro

Ah, election season in Japan! While for other countries this might mean a deluge of angry black-and-white TV commercials, in Japan it mostly means street-side speeches.

Last week, Prime Minister Abe swung by Fukushima City in Fukushima Prefecture to support local candidate Masako Mori, who’s the current minister of the Consumer Affairs Agency. And what did he talk about?

How great Fukushima-produced food is, of course!

Standing atop a campaign van, the prime minister addressed the crowd on behalf of Minister Mori. Among other things, Abe touched on the issue of Fukushima-produced food.

Got sent this link from Windymind (TY), take a look at the data differences between the US and Japan.

[link to www.netc.com]

For further obfuscation

1. Look at the color of the indicators and then click them for the numerical data and you will notice

a. The difference in the measuring techniques ie: CPM US; nSv JP
b. The wild difference in 'Norm', 'Rising', and alert levels between the two.....

wish more people would look into how lied to we are..... slight of hand data and applied statistics...

Some readings were high but they aren't interpreting the info correctly.
