Theres places in Alaska you can only snowmachine to in winter or fly to in summer. Lots of little lots on lakes you can buy that are remote like this. If you have money have the building supplies flown in and fly in a contractor to build it or at least get it started for you.

But you would get real sick of that fast I think. First you should rent in some remote town that also draws misfits, male and female. There are lots of them. I wouldn't recommend the native towns. They don't need any more white guys who don't know the ropes. But a few towns on the road systems attract the people escaping their lower 48 life and they are mostly white people. Most of them are not wild eyed mental cases.

Just get a tent, fishing gear and basic camping supplies. Travel though Alaska till you see an interesting town occasionally stay at a lodge or hotel not just a tent. At the little cafes here and there yap with the locals about the possiblilities and get settled in before winter. Or just beeline to Talkeetna, it's a road system mountain climbing and outdoor activity town full of either misfits or wannabee misfits.
