Is that the one where angels and humans had sex, and their children were like, giants who could do magic, so God came along and smited the lot of them, except for, like, 10%, who were our ancestors?
Quoting: Aunty FloWonder why they left that book out? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1432822this book fell into disfavor with powerful theologians because of its controversial statements on the nature and deeds of the fallen angels. ... The secret of the fallen angels used to be closely guarded by the cultures that were aware of them. Angels = Archons, the Greeks and Romans worshiped the Archons in their mystery religions which were a mixture of Egyptian and Babylonian. In truth, the Roman Catholic Rite (the religion as a whole) most closely resembles the Chaldean religion from the Neo-Babylonian period starting in the 6th century BC... The Sumerians (early Babylonians) believed the Archons created man, mated with them, used them as slaves, etc. This belief is common to the area, now, with a new 'universal' religion spreading through the area, you wouldn't want to offend anyone who worships these Archons, right? Maybe some of the founders of the faith were secretly worshiping fallen angels? The Bible itself was completely banned from Catholicism for the majority of time Catholicism has been a religion... and for the record, Catholicism, the word itself, is defined as "Universalism", it was the original "new age" religion... Quoting: GUANOLol. I knew it was the Catholic church that banned the book from being bound to the bible. And I think the Catholics just enjoy keeping everything they teach completely controlled by word of mouth. It is much easier to pull wool over the eyes of people. How else would they have been able to sell sins to people. They made the guide lines to control and propaganda. But I do thank you for the other interesting perspectives I had not Fully thought about. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1432822Gutenberg ended that with the printing press...
