I have to agree with you on this one and i never sign up in any social BS website because you can see when you have a brain that the main purpose was to spy on people private life.

Not with facebook. That site is very simple and just makes alot of money for the owners. Usually there are meetings and forums where people go. Sure you can use facebook to tell everyone about it, but most likely, only the people that care about what you are presenting are going to respond any how. In other words, they would have known regardless if facebook existed or not. You would have already told them, or they would have heard through your own personal network. Most of the time, the human grapevine is faster.

Hey, OP. Do you know what an ISP is? Did you know they have all your information? Did you know they can see everything you're doing on the internet?

Anyway... you should watch Deja Vu. The internet is that last thing you should be worried about in terms of privacy. I mean.. if you want to be paranoid about it.

Personally, I find FB useful for the following:

Keeping in touch with friends and family
Playing scrabble on there
....oh and Mobwars

I cannot see the problem to be honest.

Rules for FB:

1. Do NOT put your full date of birth on there
2. Do NOT put anything to do with your place of employment on there.
3. Do NOT put anything derogatory on your status on there regarding work
4. If you put anything on your status regarding people you know, bear in mind SOMEBODY who knows you and they will see it and tell them.

How much clearer can it get, the place is a hive of gossip and activity, cross the line and expect the worse.

Keep your gob shut and your friends as your friends, do not insult them or shit on them and you should do just fine.
