Okay. Here is how it went down. This explains the inconsistencies in Schneider's claims.

Schneider lied about being involved in Deep Underground Military Bases. He did this because he was angry about his best friend Ron Rummel being murdered. Schneider figured he would just lie about being involved in these projects as a way of taking vengeance on the perpetrators.

This doesn't mean that there isn't truth to what Schneider was discussing. I just think he was lying because he was angry about his friend's murder. It worked, because he clearly pissed off the people that killed Schneider. Judging by the fact that they killed him.

That's my take on it.

He didn't lie for money. He lied because his friend was murdered for printing a magazine on the subject. Then, he was murdered on January 17th, 1996. He was scheduled to give more speeches and release a book that month. He was found dead in his apartment after he failed to show up to one of these presentations.
