He did sound like he was about to cry yesterday didn't he, I don't think he is some conspirator anymore, I just think he knows we are 100% fucked and can't come out and say it.

The global financial system is fucked, yes. However, there are many who say that this too is manipulated from behind the scenes to such an extent that today's so-called financial "crisis" had been intended from the beginning, by those who command the most power on this planet.

As for the price of crude oil and the hydrocarbon market situation in general, that is definitely wholly and completely manipulated by those who benefit most, i.e: the world's seven largest energy companies.

For instance, not many people know this today because it has been both successfully and deliberately hidden, but the US still easily has enough reserves of oil and natural gas, -- to say nothing about coal -- to supply its own needs indefinitely. The notion that we are "running out of oil" in this country is false.

It is well-known that there are huge reserves of liquid petroleum and natural gas in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico, for one example. But "Big Oil" has paid politicians in Florida and elsewhere (there are also significant untapped reserves off both the East and West coasts of the US) in the offshore Continental Shelf of US territory. And in addition to this there are huge and known reserves of liquid petroleum in the Great Plains of the US as well as significant deposits of oil sands, oil tars and shale in the Rocky Mountain region of this country. All of these things are fact and yet most have been brainwashed into thinking that the US can no longer supply itself with its own conventional energy resources. And of course none of this includes the various alternative forms of energy production.

The bottom line here is that it is a total fallacy that the planet has a "shortage" of petroleum reserves because not only are there still significant and untapped supplies in the US and elsewhere in North America but massive reserves remaining in South America, Africa, Asia, Australia, vast areas of ocean bottom and so on and so on. And again, there are numerous alternative methods for energy production which are fully understood and for which the technology already exists but which are not being utilized.

But the energy industry on this planet deliberately exercises its vast financial resources in an ongoing propaganda campaign to create the false belief system of "Peak Oil" and other fairy tales in order to maintain its control over and ability to manipulate the global energy commodities markets. As long as the masses continue to fall for this propaganda exercise then the energy industry will continue to perpetuate its current practices.

Peak Oil has nothing to do with oil running out. The fact you can't even get that right means you're not worth arguing with. Not one energy company even dares mention peak oil or peak anything, so all this crap about energy companies being in a conspiracy together to drive up prices is bullshit. Energy companies are ignoring the problem and hoping it will go away.
