It was a "joke" to try and preempt people from legitimately claiming it as fact. There is a lot of truth in it. This is how things are done to squash conspiracy theory facts.

Of course, the remaining fuel was used to keep the craft in orbit until splashdown. Remember . . . NASA controls the intel but humans can apply common sense and critical thinking to debunk NASA. It did use up 96% of its fuel but it also shed most of the rocket as well. The craft is proven to have the delta V necessary to get to the Moon and back. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it didn't work. It shed just enough rocket to go a few more miles, but if you believe that it was in the realm of 240,000 more that YOU are the one who lacks understanding. And I understand the lengths government will go to launder 30 billion dollars.
