Today, a young Man on Acid realized that we are all one Consciousness, experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such Thing as Death, Life is only a Dream and we are the Imagination of ourselves. |

chrissiel123 User ID: 1396050 Canada 06/27/2011 10:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I HEAR YOU!!! If I have to listen to one more taylor swift song about love i will barf, lol. I have nothing against love, but the way it is portrayed in music nowadays is ridiculous and unrealistic. and tired and old and repetitive, etc. I know you asked for "walkin on sunshine" kind of upbeat, but i know a couple of uplifting songs with a slightly softer temp to them. They are positive and elegant and convey nice messages or stories. Give them a listen - you might like them - if not for when you are bopping around the house dancing, perhaps for in the evening as you are winding down. the artist has the voice of an angel. She is a bit self indulgent in her videos, but she has been a diva in her own genre for decades, so i guess she has earned that right. listen to her songs, and I would be very interested to hear what you think. Sorry I dont know how to imbed the vids here, all i can do is link. song 1: [link to www.youtube.com] (beautiful soothing version on a classic, the second half of the vid has some beautiful nature shots. song 2: [link to www.youtube.com] (not everyone likes classical or operatic style singing, but bear with it for the intro, she blends contemporary with classical in this one for a nice balance, great beat to it, i can feel my energy rise with this song, my kids love it too. and can you believe she is in her 50s???) my girls love sarh brightman more than they love gaga, lol. Her music is lovely, often energetic, and i do believe that listening to it makes a person smarter. Ok, no one will believe that. But there is something about the instrumentals...so many sounds, harmonies, vibrations...it seems to make my mind feel clear and focused on a bad day. She sings like an angel, her videos and live shows are filled with amazing costumes. she does many covers of pop songs, but takes them to new dimensions. her version of celine dion's titanic song is so beautiful sung in italian (il mio cuore) she dose a pretty version of Dido's songs too. in between all the perky songs, give her a chance and share your feedback. |

I use it in the mornings when I'm most needing it. Chrissie I am so open to new music and I don't care who it is...I've been stuck in the past too long listening to songs to bring back memories...for me the past is over and done with and I have no interest in it anymore. Being in the past is for people who aren't alive!! I'm looking only at right NOW and what is gonna make me joyful! I'm looking now only to have fun!! I'm gonna be one of those older people who is open to young people's music and not be so closed-minded. I really have said goodbye to the "love" illusion back in the 1990s and now I'm much more realistic about things...I find most of the "love" stuff is solely about dependency and people working out issues with others. Don't think most people truly know what love is with the exception of a mother's love for her child... Anyways much appreciated all of you! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1445615 United States 06/27/2011 05:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I feel you. Finding musical substance and sustanance is difficult especially in these times when many are feeding the negative timeline with fear, hatred and a sense of impending doom i.e. armageddon. I don't want to beat you over the head with a happy stick but positive music needs to be played and listened to, sending out the healthy vibrations to turn this ship around and keep us on a positive timeline--'til no time. Someone raves about Sarah Brightman..YES, YES and YES. Here's one called "Running" and here is "Live From Las Vegas, the Harem World Tour" from 2004 available for free download, it's over 1 gig so it might take awhile to dl. [link to www.4shared.com] There's some awesome stuff on this, Brightman does a beautiful, haunting cover of "What a Wonderful World"(in fact most of her cover versions of songs are better than the original artists versions) There's some great '60's music that needs broadcasting HP Lovecraft's "Wayfaring Stranger" , "It's About Time", "Let's Get Together". 13th Floor Elevators "'Til Then" "Try a Little Sunshine" by the Factory is particularly upbeat charged with ethusiastic harmonic reverb and those drumming bashing away I LOVE IT.... much, much more on 60's pop-sike etc..ask if interested. Karma then Dharma OR for a completely different musical overhaul---outta the "you" and/or "I" and into the collective "We" as "Us" as a whole I suggest some spirit conscious hip-hop like the Lost Children of Babylon and Son of Saturn: a bit more about this genre too if interested, please ask Hope this helps. It's more important than ever to focus on positivity Peace |

It's more important than ever to focus on positivity Peace Thanks so much!!!..well since I feel no fear, sadness or anger anymore at all most music just doesn't resonate with me I really feel like I'm coming alive now and I'm ready for a new life and new joyful possibilities... I have been listening to alot of music but it's mostly dreary and deals with losses especially relationships...even almost every movie has a "love theme" in it which just ruins the movies.. I remember watching Titantic and I was expecting some cool disaster flick but instead got all that "love" nonsense which basically ruined the movie.. I'll check out your suggestions and thanks! Times are getting so exciting for me the depressing stuff just doesn't have a place anymore.. |
