What's happening is that since Fukishema the media has focused on the hundreds and thousands of risks to nuclear powerplants.

In a pre-Fukishema world this would have been at best a blurb way down on page ten, or not even considered 'news worthy'.

But since Fukishema the new outlets will track and post something about each potential story because frankly if something does go terribly wrong, they want to be able to claim 'We reported it first' to win some money prize at the end of the year for journalism, and of course to rub it in your face so you will watch their channel or read their particular rag.

Ya right, the news is hardly reporting anything about nuclear stuff, Obongo has ordered a news blackout on Nebraska, and NO NEWS OUTLETS ARE REPORTING ON FUKISHIMA.
