Updated: Look Who’s Buying Up Flood Ravaged Farm Land

Well, guess what. People that have their own properties, whether it be a 1/2 acre or whatever, will need to start growing their OWN food because there will not be enough food to go around for everyone. Most people are too lazy to tend to a garden. However this is the time to think about getting a plan together with your neighbors so you can barter and trade veggies and whatever one can produce.

Good advice the cost of food alone will likely be a huge problem because of all this anyway.

HERE is the scary disconnect - Capitalism = whatever happens in the market is right. A business failing is just a business failing. A person being homeless and hurting is just another douchebag who didn't try hard enough.
THIS is the culture that conservatives want us to embrace. Instead of giving your neighbor a hand, Instead of profiting from your neighbor's misfortune you take a moment to offer a little help. We can't have that - people must stew in their own sauce because if they have misfortune it must be their own fault.

Now we are reaping the benefits of this kind of money & might = right kind of thinking.

He is emotionally eating. Tell him to go get a fat girlfriend who is also an emotional eater. Go on an internet dating site to find them or to a grocery store on a Friday or Saturday night. Then they commiserate together and maybe even lose weight together. Might give them a reason to get into shape. He needs to realize he is sad and depressed and using food to fill the void. Or he could go to group therapy and meet others like him. Overeaters anonymous has meetings in lots of places. He is using food like others use alcohol, shopping, porn you name it.

Pretty generous? Are you joking? First the government tells these farmers that there will be no aid to these farmers who have lost an entire year of income at the same time we are spending billions to prop up european banks and bomb and conquer countries on the other side of the globe but the government can't afford to help our own american farmers.
A way out for these farmers? Yeah it's a way out alright. A way out of everything they have and have ever had all their life. I'm sure you don't realize what a huge investment goes into farming, It takes years to buy land and purchase all the equipment and tools needed. Most of these farmers were bron on that land and now the government is going to buy it out from under them at an substantial duscount because these farmers are not going to be able to afford all of the taxes and bills for a whole year or more. And where are they gonna start a new life somewhere?

no one would bitch if the govt didn't buy their land. that right there is the whole hustle. they buy the land out from under the people for pennies on the dollar. when the land is again useable the govt gains all the profit and control over food production. what they should be doing is offering the farmers grants to stay and rebuild as appossed to moving some where to be unemployed ans a drag on society.

Barry needs to stay out of peoples homes and farms!

they are eating as an escape. one of the escapes of emotional stress is eating.

it is one of the benign and harmless escapes that people exhibit at the wake of extreme stress, worry, anxiety or uncertainty. they just 'harm' themselves. not others.

many others, on the other hand, crack up in some way under the stress of life. they may become aggressive, they may go psychotic, they may become socially dysfunctional, beat up their kids, spouses, or develop character symptoms which people simply classify as 'jerk'.

According to an article that came out a few days ago, there is a new lawsuit against Monsanto filed by 60 organic trade groups and family farmers. The farmers want to prevent Monsanto from collecting royalties on Monsanto toxic gene additives when natural crops become contaminated. This is offensive because Monsanto's engineered plants should not be allowed to pollute other crops period. Why aren't the farmers suing for the potential (or inevitable) contamination?



The lawyers in this new case, the Public Patent Foundation (PUBPAT) admit on their website that "support for our work has come from the Rockefeller Foundation, the Open Society Institute, and numerous individuals..." The Open Society Institute is a George Soros operation. Why does anyone trust Soros? The Rockefellers, known for creating the Population Council and eugenics, are the kingpins behind the GMO scheme- one needs to look no further than golden rice and the Doomsday Seed Vault.
