It's pretty normal during the day but its 8pm at night been dark for 2 hours or so and its winter time here. Never Ever Happen Before in my life time. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1451276 07/04/2011 06:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have noticed this for a few months now. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1447495I wonder if it has anything to do with the magnetics of the planet? I remember seeing somewhere that the sound of the planet earth is similar to the sound of birds chirping. I wonder if there is any connection. Sounds like hell freezing all over. |

Los angeles. It's like they are confused ,don't know what time it is. I have also heard from relatives back east that there isn't as many lightning bugs as there were before? |

| XKopp User ID: 1449853 07/04/2011 05:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've noticed this here too in southwestern PA. I often have insomnia and am quite frequently outside having a smoke at 3 or 4 am. I have been doing this for years. Nothing really unusual about that. Therefore, I have become accustomed to the local night sounds; whether it is traffic patterns, night owls hooting, raccoons screeking or roving deer. Just lately, however, I have noticed that the birds are tweeting - sometimes madly - at odd hours of the night. I know that some here have suggested nightingales or whippoorwills or owls - that is not what it is. It's common daylight birds like crows and sparrows and jays. They are getting agitated at night - as the OP suggested - for no reason that I know of. I don't know what is causing it but it is NOT normal. It seems to have been more and more common lately. | Dazza User ID: 11626319 12/28/2012 07:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree , the birds are acting strange this year , i have lived in the same place for 6 years , for 6 years i have worked on the pc until 3am (i am from UK) , my bedroom window looks directly on to a small wooded area , 3 weeks ago for the first time in 6 years i heard birds singing at 2am , and since then its been every night , sorry but no one can tell me this is normal , and i was so shocked when i typed in google "Birds singing at 2am" and got 100's of pages about others experiencing the same thing , my guess would be magnetic pole shifting as we all know birds are tuned to the magnetics of the earth , magnetic pole shifting would explain all the strange animal behaviour over the last years , look it up and see how much we are shifting per DAY |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 30974906 12/28/2012 07:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've been noticing this for the past week or so. The birds that you normally hear in the morning around 4am+ or so, have been coming out just after midnight. I've never in my entire life heard birds singing and tweeting at 12am/1am/2am. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1266150 wtf is going on? anyone else notice this? <--- New Hampshire. i noticed this too, i was gonna post on here about it on christmas eve but i thought fuck it its just birds, strange though |

I'm a light sleeper and my hubby and I have been up between 2AM EST and 3:30AM every day birds or no birds. While I have heard birds at night previously, its very rare, whereas its become commonplace now. My guess is people and birds are having a problem with their body clock due to changes in some environmental factor. Magnetic/atmospheric/sonic...no clue I just know things are different. |
